It has already been said, but I was going to say Bret vs. Austin WM13. I'll go with any of the Steamboat vs. Flair matches in 89.

Thinking about it, can I go ahead and change my answer to Cena vs Michaels in England on Raw in 2007?
You have icons from two different generations, and contrasting ring work styles but they still somehow mesh perfectly. It's not spot-spot-spot, doesn't drag and the drama builds at a level I think would easily impress a newer fan.

Randy Savage vs Ultimate Warrior at Wrestlemania 7. Great story going in that you can easily explain to someone who is not a fan, its not "over the top" the psychology is good, there are some hammy moments, but oevrall it tells a great story.

Depends on my audience. When I was in college my friends got excited and wanted to watch after seeing a couple Mick Foley matches and the tag team main event from the first One Night Stand.
My wife on the other hand watched Bret Hart vs Bulldog from Summerslam 1992 and actually enjoyed it. It's my favorite match of all time so that's probably the one I'd go with.

Johnny Gargano/Tommaso Ciampa from Takeover NOLA. The story leading up was perfectly paced (Mostly due to Ciampa's injury). Just the amount of heat Ciampa had simply walking into the arena was incredible. Fantastic match, fantastic emotion. You just feel like these men truly hate each other. Takeover NOLA is my favorite show of all time, and I just can't sing this match's praises enough.

If I was showing one match to a non fan it would be a great Lucha match. They aren’t likely to get swept up in storytelling first go. So I’d pop in Vikingo vs Bandido vs Fenix Vs Laredo Kid vs Taurus from one of the TripleManias this year and let them enjoy the spectacle. Maybe Shibata vs Ishii from the 2013 G1. If they don’t like that…they won’t like anything. I'm finishing my first watching of G1 23 today (all 9 days). One of the best tournaments I've ever seen. Shibata/Ishii was so damn good.

Mike Awesome Vs Masato Tanaka One Night Stand 2005. Builds well, doesn't go on forever, some brutal spots and the crowd are nuts for everything. Joey Styles commentary didnt age well. No, it really didn't. The only thing that detracts from the match. Even at the time I thought Styles' comments were too much.

Ciampa vs WALTER for the NXT UK Championship at the Takeover from WM37 weekend. Fantastic storytelling involving WALTER trying to chop Ciampa the whole match. The ending move being a brutal chop (being preceded by a brutal suplex) was amazing.

I can only imagine when Awesome did take his own life that Styles had some real time of reflection I hope so. Styles seems like a decent guy, but was clearly holding a grudge over Awesome's actions. I get why he was pissed, but to wish the guy dead? Nah, come on.

If I'm showing someone why I enjoy wrestling, I'll show em a really fun Royal Rumble, usually 92, 01, or 02.
If I want to show someone why I LOVE wrestling and what potential it has for action, athleticism and storytelling, I show them Austin vs Hart at Wrestlemania 13.
