Ever watch a show and there’s a scene or story with a glaring omission that no one is addressing?
Like when Johnny Ace was threatening everyone job and Big Show didn’t use his “you can’t fire me” stipulation he won the year before.
I was watching the Goldbergs and their neighbor decided to get married and have a wedding. His daughter was noticeable absent despite being a reoccurring character and love interest of one of the main character for years and the best friend of the other. Yet they never brought her up or explained where she went
On modern Family, I always found it odd that they never addressed that Jo was the brother of Claire and Mitch. There was even an episode where Jo had a crush on Claire and not one time, someone said “hey that’s your sister!”

Who was the sister in Family Matter that was only there for a season or 2? like the entire cast of Family Matters slowly disappeared into the memory hole eventually.

Chuck. Cunningham. Just Chuck Cunningham. (Howard on the series finale: "BOTH" of his "TWO" kids are married??)
Someone mentioned Modern Family...how much of it should be seen assuming it's all a documentary? (What We Do In The Shadows at least still makes an effort to acknowledge the camerapeople)
All the people we never see again on Saved By The Bell (though a certain web series I wish was back tries to explain that). But seriously, that is a BIG problem in lots of classic sitcoms too. Golden Girls had tons of lost relatives, for instance. On The Mary Tyler Moore Show/Rhoda, where is Rhoda's other sister Debbie when we get to her spinoff? And I think she says she has a brother too on MTM, yet he is nowhere to be seen on Rhoda.
Reverse version, but where is the Matrix of Leadership pre-movie? Optimus Prime's internal functions are seen at least once, but no Matrix. And don't get me started on what's the true origin of the Constructicons.
Ghosts, as much as I love it, has a lot of these. Why can they sit down yet not fall through things as if they were walking through solid walls/doors? (The show does make a joke about this) When they have to tell Jay something, why not get Alberta leave a message on Alexa, as we know she can do? Unless it's a continuity goof, why can you see them in reflective surfaces? Why can they touch each other but not livings? (except for Trevor, who can touch things...and it hasn't been proven if he can touch livings) Flower sometimes has scars, sometimes not. AND WHAT ABOUT CRASH?!!?
How come Dan, Tommy, and Julie never see the Evergreen Forest community? And why's the Christmas Raccoons appear to be the first time the Raccoons meet the Sneers...although as per the series, Cedric went to the same school as them? (And don't get me started on that, compared to the coffee story about how Ralph and Melissa supposedly first met)
And of course...
How does Joel/Mike eat and breathe and other science facts? ;-)

Penny Ivy Brendon Flash Jean Luc Cody for a little while And then you have Mark and Lily who were recast... A lot of skeletons in the Lambert house, for sure...

In sitcoms whenever someone comes through the front door they hardly ever close the door. Not to mention that if someone is home the door is never locked. And neighbors just walking in. Even my best friend lets me know he's on the way or knocks on the door.

James Franco in the Night Before considering all that came out about him. It does paint a pretty dark picture

The completely unqualified Wesley Crusher serving on the Federation's flagship. That could be summed up as Nepotism since his Mother was onboard as Chief Medical Officer.

Top Gear had a literal "elephant in the room" to represent Jeremy Clarkson's sacking from the show.

Watched Die Hard 2 on Christmas eve..
And one thing that got me is how glossed kvef the bit when the terrorists force a plane loaded with passengers to crash on a runway, causing a massive fireball at a major airport.. Everyone on board is just incinerated.
There is a scene of distress in the tower (if you listen closely you can hear someone crying), John McClane picks up a doll amongst the wheckage... But after that.. It's barely brought up again in the about the hour runtime left, there is little media coverage (meaning there is one reporter on the scene), the airport remains open to the public despite a huge avaition disaster just occurring (people only start panicking is when Dick Thornberg finds out the terriost hostsge situation and does a live news cross from a plane toilet)..
Then you get the happy “let it snow” ending. While 270 innocent dead bodies are smoulding on a tarmac nearby.
Look even pre 9/11 this was bad. I don't mind Die Hard 2.. But shit is it sloppery written.

Watched Die Hard 2 on Christmas eve.. This one always bugged me too. For me it's in the same vein as the countless movies where a "Good Guy Cop/Solider/Dad/etc" is firing weapons in public and blowing everything to shit and it's just glossed over if it's even mentioned at all. I feel like there's only like 5 movies that actually try to seriously address it. Or the cop ignores everything ever about warrants and law but it's ok because he killed the villain and his 100 henchmen and he got to bone the hot chick.

That's definitely the worst part, but being an anal retentive bastard the bit that always bugs me is that plane, supposedly running on fumes, going up in flames like it was Dresden circa 1945. Sure, pancaking and breaking apart is a harder special effect to achieve and doesn't have the same wow factor as a massive fiery explosion, but it still bugs me.

Subplot of season 1 in Nip/Tuck is them hiring a psychologist for the practice.
Few episodes later she just vanishes from the series with no explanation.
Behind the scenes the writers had apparently realized the character was a mistake, but a simple "we fired her" or something probably would've worked fine.
