Mr. Perfect in 1991. Sure, he had the classic with Bret at Summerslam after being injured, but what if he had been able to keep competing? He likely would have formed an alliance with Flair, and I would have like to have seen him against Savage, Sid, and Taker. During his recovery, he was Ric’s Executive Consultant. How about Brian Pillman getting his leg broken in a car accident because he made the foolish decision not to wear a seat belt just after he signed with WWE?

Especially to how they would've handled both him and Flair being active at the same time. Does Perfect go down the card or do they elevate him to the main event picture instead and don't push Flair as hard. Even though I think Flair was better Perfect was younger and fit the WWF landscape better while also being really good in the ring himself.

Magnum TA will always be my pick here. There have been a LOT since then, but he was going to be a MASSIVE star.

It would have been an awesome double main event if Perfect started off the Royal Rumble as a bad guy, Flair eliminates him, Hogan eliminates Sid. Sid turns on Hogan at the Main Event and Perfect comes to his aid. You'd have to take Brutus out of the equation though. If Vince wanted to keep Macho at commentary, there's his chance.

Daniel Bryan getting hurt a few weeks after everyone FINALLY getting what they wanted at WM 30. Not only did it suck for DB and the fans, but WWE went into panic mode and rushed the Shield break up due to a need for a number 2 face behind Cena. Vince had been salivating at the thought of pushing his shiny new toy and couldn't wait to shove him down everyone's throats as their new jacked up, pretty boy hero. Problem was, people weren't ready to give up on DB just yet and certainly weren't ready to accept Replacement Cena. This started a creative tailspin for WWE that I still don't think they've recovered from. Although HHH does seem to finally be making strides to fix all of Vince's misfires since the DB injury / premature Roman babyface push. The one positive is that this board probably would have closed down after Summerslam if it was Bryan that Lesnar absolutely destroyed and not Cena.

Rick Rude also came to mind. Dude got hurt right before Hogan came in to WCW and he would have easily been a top heel he could work with and make some money in the process. A healthy Rick Rude at that time would have excelled by being a great worker with size and flexibility character wise. And he would have been a huge hot commodity as a wrestler during the Monday Night Wars both because of his name/talent and the fact that I imagine he could have really leaned in to the Attitude Era stuff pretty well. Hogan never wanted to work with Rude in WWF, I think they had two matches. One from Boston Gardens, I think, is on the Rare Matches Hogan DVD. In WCW, when he got to call even more shots, Rude wouldn’t have had a chance.

Orville Brown's car accident in 1948, not long after being crowned the first NWA World Champion, rendering him unable to compete and forced to retire. This could have changed the entire history/timeline of the National Wrestling Alliance if he was able to continue wrestling.

Got to be Kennedy when he had the MITB.
Even worse when you remember he was misdiagnosed. They thought he was gonna be out for 6 months and he was only out for 4 weeks.

And like I said the Brock murdering Cena only worked because it WAS Cena... it was Superman getting destroyed by Doomsday. It's shocking because we haven't seen that before. Bryan is not that type of wrestler.

Take your pick of any WCW injuries from December 1999 to January 2000. If Bret had never been kicked in the head by Goldberg and Goldberg had never punched the glass of a limo, it would have prevented the chain of events that led to derailing Souled Out, Kevin Sullivan becoming booker, and the Radicals leaving the company. From there, what would wrestling history look like? WCW would have probably still gone under, but that’s a massive butterfly effect.

People keep bringing up Finn and while I agree to an extent... I don't see Vince ever really getting him.
Maybe he sticks around towards the top.. but I don't think there's any big change in the roster.

It's probably not all time, but even if you take Scrumgate completely out of the equation, CM Punk injured himself during his first match as AEW champion, and then during the match where he would reclaim the title a second time, both injuries kept him out for months each, he is still recovering from the second one
It f***ed AEW's entire second half of the year up, both times, and you could tell multiple angles had to be reworked or outright scrapped, and other talents also got suspended for the domino effect that ensued, and injury number 2 seemed to be a straw breaking moment for Punk to erupt at the press scrum, so overall, these injuries changed a lot about AEW, and could still ripple effect into the coming months if not longer.
