I feel a lot of people forget about Tennessee Lee (the former Colonel Parker) managing country singer era Jeff Jarrett in WWE.

Bob Backlund trying to make Darren Young great again springs to mind and that's only cause I was recently looking at the Battleground 2016 matchcard and saw Young vs Miz on there, prompting a bit of a crisis as I was 100% I remembered everything, but there we are.

Slick and Rick Martel, even though it does make sense to have The Model and the Doctor of Style together. Martel was good enough on the mic and his and Slick's energies were so different, it was a bit of a clash.

I saw an 8-man match where Darren Young was managed by Bob. (Same card where Sami Zayn was bumped from a 4-way main event with champ AJ Styles, Baron Corbin and Kevin Owens for...some reason.) Bob worked his frickin' ass off at ringside!

Paige with Kabuki Warriors. I haven't forgotten, but I wouldn't be surprised if others have.

Bob worked his frickin' ass off at ringside! I'm surprised Bob wouldn't be wrestling. He certainly should be able to do better than Flair at his age now but it's good he knew when to stop. Slick and Martel probably came about to totally transition Martel as a heel. He got better with speaking as he progressed but he progressed quickly and WWF probably didn't know how well he would do so quickly. It's funny him being on the Bossman team at the 89 Survivor Series. I'm guessing Slick was still with him by then. I think an early 1990 WWF magazine had an article about a Martel/Beefcake feud and Slick was pictured.

"Mad Dog" Bobby Manganoff (sp?) managed Big John Studd when the WWF hit St. Louis in 1983-84. Jerry Jarree (Dr. Jerry Graham Jr. in Bruiser country/WWA Indianapolis) was the man. I believe he was a placeholder until Bobby Heenan arrived.

Colonel Parker w/ The Quebeccers Sonny Onoo w/ Ernest Miller Jim Cornette w/ Mantaur Zeb w/ Bradshaw I mostly remember Zeb managed Bradshaw because JBL would reference it on commentary sometimes, calling him his "Uncle Zeb", to the degree where I am unclear on if Uncle Zebekiah and Zeb Coulter are meant to be the same guy in kayfabe. I suppose nothing says they can't be. I sometimes forget Mr. Hughes was Triple H's bodyguard briefly. I don't know if that was a stopgap before Chyna by intention, or if it's as Hughes says and that he happened to get hurt, so they replaced him.

I did forget about that until just now lol I feel like Hunter wanted Chyna from the beginning, but Vince didn't think she'd be believable as a man's bodyguard. So they went with Hughes, then he got hurt, so Hunter, Shawn and Shane talked Vince into giving her a shot. Also, you bringing that up reminded me of Goldust having Mantaur as a bodyguard for like one night.

Bobby Heenan and Brooklyn Brawler They really should have had Brawler with Heenan full time, make him one step above a guy who loses all the time. Maybe that was the intention and they went in another direction.

Bob Backlund also managed Kurt Angle for a New York minute in early 2000. Wasn’t it Backlund and the Iron Sheik? Or did Sheiky just show up backstage?
