Man, Tony Schiavone was a cold motherf***er, huh? Dude watches a guy fall off the roof of the arena, and he's there in the next match telling a distraught Heenan(who's saying he may not be able to be there at Nitro tomorrow) "Well, you have to, that's your job!", and calling the match like nothing just happened. Obviously he was just no-selling this silly ass storyline, but in the context, he looks like an asshole.

There was a tag team match on the pre-show that was so good it should've been on the PPV! Stupid booking.

Tony ripped this show apart on his podcast and it was hilarious.
Unfortunately, it seems to have led to so much of the forced comedy the show turned into before they started watching old Crockett stuff, and even then, Conrad would still try to sneak something in.

I'm re-watching WCW from the beginning of Nitro to the death of the company, just passed HH 95, and yeah, that show deserves a savaging. Two good matches(the opener and the Horseman match/angle), and the rest is crap.

It is a role reversal, only played more serious the night after Fall Brawl 1997 when Tony walked off Nitro, and Larry was telling him you got a job to do.

WCW is the fall of 1995 was one of the most fascinating times for a wrestling company. You had a PPV with Sabu in his prime that also featured a mummy dryhumping Hulk Hogan. Truly something for everyone.

I felt like a lot of times Tony got annoyed with Heenan overselling stuff and just decided to deadpan it for spite.

After witnessing Abdullah The Butcher get the chair before his eyes, no further horrors could break through the cheery facade he had to put on.

As awful as the show is. I have a soft spot for it. It’s like the Plan 9 From Outer Space of wrestling PPVs.
