I am finding it truly difficult to be invested the second time around. One thing I do not enjoy in wrestling (and entertainment in general) is when it wastes my time, which is how last time felt. And his loyalty makes him look increasingly like a moron. How much crap can you take from your so called friends before enough is enough?

Absolutely. It sticks more now that he doesn't have a group to fall back on. This one isn't him just leaving one group of friends for another. It's him becoming his own man.

About as invested as I would be for a Big Show turn.

Yeah, there’s definitely a face-turn there waiting in the wings.

Not as much as I was when he was having his matches with Danielson, but I think it can still work.

They killed any momentum he had stone dead by keeping him with Jericho. I think they probably figured (rightly) that he wasn’t quite ready for a run as a face or whatever would have come from siding with Bryan Danielson.

I'm behind him slapping the taste out of Sammy's mouth and that would make him a face to me.

I dunno i fyou've seen much of him in PWG but he has a weird energy about him, but like a really funny one. It's like he went into this not realising how big a thing maybe not so much comedy but a sense of humour was going to help and he has this atmosphere of someone whos never really tried to be funny but has gone hey you know what? f*** it, I can be funny, yeah yeah, but he can be such a funny weirdo enigma, but that doesnt make a good face really. Make him a total dick for a while, make him a weirdo

They would need Jericho to bring up on air that Garcia will do same thing as last year and remain with him only for Jericho to get swerved.

Yeah I am, and I think them building to that by having him beat the shit out of Sammy eventually would be a great touch

I totally get folks being less invested now. He was really hot last summer. But I think there was a real chance he would've just been Wheeler Yuta 2.0 if he turned then. And that's fine. But I think he would've largely just been a guy. I think this story culminating with matches w/ Sammy and eventually Jericho on PPV can take him even farther.

People were really angry when Hayter didn't turn and I'd argue she's more over now than she would have been then, and won the world title so... sometimes these things just work out. It can for Garcia too.

I am behind it, but they will need to work to get back to where they were. Lee Johnson had a lot of momentum at one time, too, and then that fizzled out. It shouldn't be taken for granted that Garcia can even get that heat back that they squandered, which, maybe he wasn't ready yet, but I sometimes literally forget he was even the Pure champion.

The amount of mistakes AEW had last year has made some fans lose faith in the company(Scorpio/Sammy Saga, Dragging Elite stuff for months and months, the booking of the women division pre Saraya, TK not able to stop Punk from losing control for example)
Garcia can heat up again if they do the JAS gauntlet with him before facing Jericho.

No one's perfect, in the end, AEW's been on a much better role since Full Gear, and it felt like a really good reset point for the company
