Mosh of the Headbangers of course. This is what he said in his Beaver Cleavage induction “ The recipe for hilarity was simple. Take one tag team wrestler who has never been over in his entire career; in this case, Headbanger Mosh.” www.wrestlecrap.com/inductions/beaver-cleavage/I know that there has been a lot of people that say Wrestler A wasn’t over while other people say they were but how could RD say that Mosh wasn’t over? Him and Thrasher seemed to be VERY OVER during the year 1997.

Headbangers were VERY over.
Sounds like he has a personal axe to grind.

That's the kind of 00's internet style that Wrestlecrap never outgrew. Where it's just sort of taking a jab for the sake of it, because most people don't remember Mosh in comparison to his era, so why not take a dig.

RD stopped evolving as a writer past 2003 or so.

Not disagreeing with the opinions of RD and Wrestlecrap, but was Mosh really over? Headbangers had been over. But was either of them over without the other?

RD has never been one to stay close to the truth.
His first book as well as Death of WCW are absolutely chalk full of errors, misleading statements and flat out lies.

The Headbangers are one of those teams that got a bad reputation well after the fact for no real reason. It's like they are to pro wrestling what Bennigan's was to restaurants. They were much better as faces than heels though.

Not disagreeing with the opinions of RD and Wrestlecrap, but was Mosh really over? Headbangers had been over. But was either of them over without the other? The thing is, neither of them had ever wrestled singles in WWE before Beaver Cleavage. So it's not entirely a fair assessment. But we're talking about a site called "WrestleCrap", so it's not like we should be expecting much lol

Among "regular" teams (not just two singles guys paired together), the Headbangers were sort of the breakout stars of what was considered a very weak tag division in '97, compared to what the WWF had going by 1999-2000. They weren't Austin-over, but they were over enough, and tided people over until the Outlaws got super-hot.
R.D. exaggerated to make some things feel "crappier" than they were in real time. It was like his own gimmick. I don't think he's been taken seriously in a very long time, since his books were picked apart.
At least he hosted the original forum that made it possible for me to talk wrestling with you fine people.

Also, RD Reynolds first book (as far as the last chapter goes), he gets his timeline of events all mixed up. He says that Hulk Hogsn carried the NWO AFTER Kev tore his quad amongst other things I believe.
I still find his Death of WCW book (2014 version to be a good read though.

Love RD and love WrestleCrap, but dude swung and missed on what way the Internet was going. There's no reason WrestleCrap shouldn't be one of the biggest YouTube channels ever, but he missed it. He's stuck around 2001 and it's tragic, because he's better than that.

So Thrasher was carrying Mosh? Or they were only over when they were in the ring together? Are there any specific examples of Mosh being separated from Thrasher where we could say "Mosh sucks without Thrasher!"

On that note, he'll never recover from being absolutely pantsed by Bischoff in their debate a few years ago. RD was not only not ready for Eric to have responses to his charges, but he also couldn't keep up with Eric's on the fly wit

What's the bigger mystery:
Was Mosh over? Or what was the exciting conclusion to Beaver Cleavage that Vince Russo deemed us unworthy to know?

Not just because of how Bischoff (and even Sullivan) just outclass RD but RD tried some humor at the start that did NOT hit at all and was met with silence and it was all downhill from there. Long panel but it very quickly became "okay let's just get this guy out of here he's not up for this" I do think RD and Blade (RIP) while their comedy didn't always hit, did have a comedic style on WrestleCrap Radio that would have very much translated to videos and worked in a way that some of the bigger wrestling youtube channels lack comedy.

I think with the panel thing, he simply overestimated his ability to hang with the big boys. It happens. His problem was talking such a HUGE amount of shit and being unable to even remotely back it up.

He's stuck around 2001 and it's tragic, because he's better than that. Sense of humor wise? Yeah, I see it. But I think RD's failure to adapt is apparent in other places, too. He was on the pulse of wrestling fandom less by knowing what was popular and more by happening to intersect with the zeitgeist for a while. I just don't think he has much of interest to say about wrestling past 2006 or so.
