It's time for the annual Natalya push/title match

Nattie is a very solid talent and seems by all accounts to be a terrific person. I think she and Ripley should have a really good match.   That said, I have negative desire to see her in a singles title match in 2023

So this is the little bit of raw I saw last night and Corey Graves called her one of the most decorated women on the roster but like...

Hasn't she only won each championship once? Raw title, smackdown title, tag title? Maybe a divas title but I don't think she did?

They mentioned at Mania that she has wrestled on more Manias than any other woman and I honestly couldn't tell you what she did in any of them. Lita had more memorable Wrestlemanias and she only wrestled in one. Even Stephanie has more memorable Manias

Yeah, she won the Divas belt. Won it at Survivor Series 2010. Led to a decent tables match with Beth Phoenix against Michelle McCool and Layla later on, I believe.

Oh, and the reason why it’s always Natalya is because she’s like the best talent that we actually allow to lose. Anyone else just as good (or better) has too much noise saying they have to win because they’re better or haven’t had their proper turn yet. Anyone else that is allowed to lose isn’t as good.

As I said, I like her. She's a very solid ring hand.  I just don't know what else there is to do with her. She's either respected face veteran or entitled heel veteran. And she cosplays as Bret/her dad at various times

How is she only 40? Not that she looks old or anything, but if you told me she was younger than Asuka, I'd think you were lying and crazy. It feels like Nattie has been around forever, and yeah I can't remember any of it...except for that time she had the flatulence problem. That was peak Nattie, because at least I remember it.

I just looked it up, and damn Nattie been around since 2008! You know what? I say give her an actual decent annual push this time. She's been a solid hand for that long let's give her a reward. Maybe she uses the power of farts to defeat Rhea in a non-title match! Then Rhea starts taking more protein powder to increase her own farting offense. They have their feud-ender in a sauna. The audience can use scratch and sniff cards to give the full smell-o-vision experience.

Sadly I'm not surprised. Becky followed up main eventing mania by feuding with Lacey for 5 months and then having a random match with Natalya at Summerslam who won a fatal 4 way something like a week earlier to get a shot.

Agree, though I think it helps at least that role in Judgment Day and with Dom means that she's got consistent time and moments even outside her own matches. With Becky in 2019 it was basically the Lacey feud (as well as the initial Charlotte part up to MITB) and not much else. It'd be nice if the Natalya thing is really to set up a singles match with Beth Phoenix, but that might be false hope.

Yup

When you look at how supposedly stacked Raws division is with women...alot of them are just bodies for Rhea.

Other than Becky everyone else is fodder untill Rhea gets to her.

It is why I said SD while not having quite the depth (as in the ammount of women) is much stronger as far as quality goes especially at the top of their womens division.

Yeah, her original title run which got cut off early for an Eve Torres run (note - not the good heel Eve Torres title run, that was a few years later). That tables match really stood out at the time, compared to what the women were been given.

Nattie is basically Tito Santana circa 1992 now. A solid hand, well past their prime, who is enough of a name to put people over.
