Well, that was a match. Imo a match that was good but not great but surprised by the finish
I assume we are getting a rematch but felt like something was missing

It felt like they watched Kenny/Ospreay and said "well, we ain't topping that"

Feel like the crowd was largely dead from the Omega/Osprey match. I liked this one much better, it's more my cup of tea.

If anything comes out about a Danielson injury, likely shoulder related, I won't be surprised
What I'm more surprised at is the fact that Danielson won clean, monumental win for him not just in AEW but his career, no one taps out Okada... and now he has. That's incredible.
Hopefully he's ok and nothings serious because I think they set this up to run it back down the line

I don't know what the deal was, but I can't imagine that's what they drew up.

I have no idea how I should feel after that. I HATED the seizure sell, if it wasa sell, and took me completely out of the rest of the match. If that was the booking it shouldn't have main eventer and Omega/Ospreay should of.
I feel dirty after watching that and not in a fun way.

It feels like something was off for sure…but there was also the crushing heights the bar of expectation was set at as well.
I enjoyed the match for what it was though.

Nobody was following Kenny and Billy GOAT. I think I'd enjoy the match more if this wasn't the main event. Maybe Danielson was legit hurt and if so that sucks, but for a match that had unrealistic expectations I don't think they came close to hitting those.

It reminded me of the first WWE match between Nakamura and AJ in it’s a decent match designed to start a longer story. Hopefully this one doesn’t involve dick punches and a cold ass blow-off.

I actually really loved it and it didn't disappoint me at all. When Danielson put in that move, I instantly thought there's no real way for Okada to get out of this one and to my surprise he actually tapped. Usually the person putting on the hold does some dumb shit like letting go of it entirely for a second but Danielson only did for a second to beat the shit out of the guy.

It was just aight, in my humble opinion.
Crowd, god bless them, felt gassed but pushed along. Uhh.. I really didn’t like the convulsing. If it was real, hope danielson’s okay (he seemed okay). I dunno. Haven’t seen Okada in a minute but..it was just alright.
Still felt very special, because of the two competitors. Felt like a celebration of both their wrestling journeys, and the crowd certainly showed them lots of love buuutt I dunno. Match was just okay.
I ..hated that end. Very disappointing.
Think following Kenny/Ospreay might have had a factor in it, I dunno. If the convulsion thing was a work (which I think it was because it followed the Tombstone on the outside, which Okada did VERY safely..) knock that shit out, man.

I thought it was off from the start. The crowd felt off, then you had Danielson seizing again. It was just dumb. I hope they get another stab at it in the Tokyo Dome but I also wouldn’t mind if Bryan took a few months off to regroup.

The seizure thing is very on brand for BD, he spent the first 6 months post-retirement actively teasing mid-match that he’d suffered severe head trauma.

They've also been in the arena for nearly six hours. I dont care how hot a crowd is. Eventually you're gonna burn out by the length of the show.

If it went exactly as laid out Kenny/Will should've mained. It was a pretty good match, and they gelled naturally unlike Punk/Bryan, AJ/Shinsuke or AJ/Owens, but it still felt abrupt and incomplete unless an injury occurred. Either way it feels like they might run it back.
I'm at least glad there was a decisive finish and am shocked Bryan won - which is why I think a rematch in Japan is likely.

On the convulsion. I don't think it was real. I think it was an attempt at something different that was a bad call by Danielson. I don't doubt he picked up some type of injury, but aint no way Bryce or the Doc let Okada get near him let alone touch him nor do the announcers keep talking or they keep showing it.
Like if you do that as an angle to get a heel heat? Poor taste, but you can run with it. A midmatch spot with a crowd already burnt out? Makes it look even worse

Felt like a set up to more in a rematch, either All In or a nebulous date in the future. Felt like a big time huge match that never hit that huge fourth gear that Omega/Ospreay did. Though I don't think they wanted to end two PPVs in a row on Callis screwing over Kenny so that placement made sense to me. Good that Bryan finally got a big PPV main event win in AEW though he hadn't had that yet.
I'll get this out of my system now: Bryan's fake seizure spot was gross, but not unsurprising given his affinity this run for "let me make people think I've been grievously injured like for real even for people who know wrestling's fake" spots (see: the leg trap incident or the aforementioned "I have brain trauma" spots on SD). I could see it being a cover for him being legit hurt, which is scary in its own way too obviously. That bit just cast a shadow over the rest of the match, I just hope Bryan's fine and it was him f***ing around with his weird sense of humor because that's the best case scenario (see also: Bryan "I thought about faking my own death for a long time because I'm not sure you could do it now. I think I could. I have a couple of devious plans." Danielson). I do think the camera wouldn't be on him at all if it was legit a crisis though.

Don't care about it not being MOTN, I got to watch Danielson v. Okada.

I'm just gonna assume Bryan got injured and they had to improvise. If not that then they're holding off on a better match which would be weird. AEW doesn't usually do the WWE "hey we gonna hold back for some reason just to do a big match later where there's space" thing so it would be far different. Bryan loves wrestling so much that he's probably already planning on what to do for a sequel. That man ain't happy about this match. Bryan literally put a graphic of their match with Dreams and Nightmares playing over it on IG yesterday.
He ain't happy with this match.

the seizure thing reminded me of that time he pretended he had his leg caught in the weird old WCW style ramp for like fifteen minutes and people thought his leg was going to come off
