Just dawned on me but Danielson is probably out of Wembley now right? Damn.

A seizure off a fractured wrist tho? How many times have you seen someone go into a seizure off pain and how many times have we had to question whether Danielson was faking it I am not a Doctor but I would think it would be rare for a broken or fractured bone to lead to a seizure. He more likely did it to improvise than anything My logic was it wasn't really a seizure it was more shaking in pain or shock to the injury, but, either way, he said the last 10 minutes had a lot of things change due to what happened lol As someone who broke his wrist about a year ago, I didn't act like I was convulsing or anything. But I was still in a lot of intense pain and if anything I couldn't really move it at all at the time of the break. There were a couple of times where I greyed out from the pain, though.
If Bryan did it to cover for a legit injury without throwing up the "X" so a doctor could look at him, that's fine, though.

So he could be available.

I said in the Forbidden Door thread before the PPV started that this probably wasn't going to be the MOTY, instant classic that many were hoping for so I had lower expectations going in. On any other card it would have been a great main event but unfortunately for them, it had to follow Omega and Ospreay. If they run it again, I'd expect it to be better. I'm very surprised that Okada took the loss here though. After losing to so many people, Danielson beats Okada, lmao. Makes me think the plan is for Okada to beat him in NJPW sometime, both of them getting the hometown win.

Okada losing is more interesting. Gives further adversity after losing the IWGP title. He may still end up lolwinning the G1 but there's doubt.
Bryan's lost most big matches in AEW but submitting Okada is a huge feather in the cap for him and the BCC. He can crow about it and use it to set things in motion either for title shots or Blood & Guts.

I don't mean to lessen other people's opinions because I can totally see why it was disappointing to most but honest to god, I thought that match absolutely ruled and still do this morning. It goes to show just how magical these two men are that they pulled that off with Danielson only having one arm. Imagine how it'll be when he heals up?

Danielson has beaten Cena, Punk, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Triple H, Batista, Randy Orton, Okada, etc over the course of his career.
Quite the resume.

Dear wrestlers,
Stop finishing matches with injuries, I am f***ing begging you
Love me
Anyway I guess the match is now impossible to rate given that idiot Bryan wrestled part of it with one arm. Undeniably impressive, but for stupid reasons. Like if you climbed Everest naked, that is an achievement sure but a stupid one with many unnecessary risks

Danielson probably broke his arm from those hot dog jumping jacks instead of focusing on the task at hand. Anderson Silva went the same way.

It was perfectly cromulent but underwhelming, but since Bryan's arm was fractured that's not entirely their fault (although I thought it was fine, not great, before that point).
The most memorable part was the finish, which actually looked amazing and Bryan should use that happy accident more often in future.
I don't really care about the seizure spot, regardless of the reason he did it. Wrestlers fake injuries in practically every match. Bryan has actually HAD seizures, so if he thinks they're fine to use in a spot, I'm fine with it too.

I definetly think this match is better on 2nd viewing. It's even more impressive watching final stages when it's clear Danielson is hurt. He plucked a brutal submission out of his arse using his legs and just one arm for god sake. And it looked great.
It is a shame they didn't use the finish they had planned, and I will forever wonder what it was going to be

I rewatched too, because I was curious what I would think watching it start to finish with confirmation that Bryan actually broke his arm and wasn't just spectacularly selling the entire time. On rewatch, it was easily a 4 star match made even better for me by the sheer ring psychology that Bryan was able to employ to make it believable that he could beat one of the greatest wrestlers on the planet with one arm. I think the match got dinged by a lot of us (myself included) watching live because we were completely exhausted having watched 5+ hours of wrestling by that point in the night, and Kenny/Ospreay was an all-time classic, so Bryan/Okada didn't feel like it lived up to the hype, especially due to its comparatively methodical pace. Bryan/Okada was really, really good though and I am really excited for the prospect of a rematch.

I feel like Ric Flair when Billy Kidman kicked David Flair’s ass. “He beat you up? Danielson can’t beat you up!” I can’t believe that hippie vegan made my cashed out boi look like a punk busta.
Injury aside, very good match given the circumstances.

my man will formulate a new experimental style of fighting that does not involve arms in time for Wembley, it can be done

Given the word about how Danielson was pretty banged up going into the match feels like he probably should've been taking some time off anyway, but guess this assures it. Hopefully he recovers soon.

I hate to say this, but if Danielson was as banged up as rumored going into the match, the break might be a blessing. While he's working through that, he can try to heal up the other problems instead of working through them. Instead of working at 60-70%, he might come back as near to 100% as is possible for Danielson at this point.
I'm just trying to see the positive in a bad situation, okay? lol

Who do we think he would have wrestled at All In if he can’t now?
