Joan Rivers at WM2 introducing Cowboy Bob Orton as what sounded like comedy man Bob Orville.

On an episode of Wrestling Challenge in Nov. 1994, Lori Thiemann of American Journal was a guest ring announcer and called Scott Hall the INTERNATIONAL Champion. (Gorilla corrected her.).

Joan Rivers at WM2 introducing Cowboy Bob Orton as what sounded like comedy man Bob Orville. I think her whole line was "The Ace Comedy Funny Man" before Bob's name.

Booker T’s infamous “Owen Hart couldn’t defy gravity” comment when comparing him to Neville.
In a similar vein, Curt Hennig was on commentary at Survivor Series 95, and after Marty Jannetty does a Rocker Dropper: “That’ll break your neck.”

Numerous announcers in 1993 always seemed to read Adam Bomb's weight as 229 1/2 pounds.

I think it was on this site where someone suggested, that's pretty much what happened. She didn't know who he was and just misread it. Numerous announcers in 1993 always seemed to read Adam Bomb's weight as 229 1/2 pounds. In 1993 and 1994 WWF had kids be guest ring announcers on shows. I remember one kid announcing Bomb and his manager "Harvey Wipple Man" like he really emphasized the man part.

The ring announcer from the 2001 PPV “WOW Unleashed” who announced the wrong winner to a match and then hastily corrected himself about 30 seconds later
After Bronco Billie beat the Disciplinarian, the announcer (who presumably is sitting at ringside, said “ and the winner of this match is… The…Disciplinarian!”
(Thirty second later, clearly having been prompted)
“BRONCO BILLIE! The winner was BRONCO BILLIE!”

When Christy Hemme was a ring announcer in TNA, she screwed up someone’s introduction and the wrestler backed her into a corner and shoved his crotch into her face. That was Austin Aries wasn't it? It was, but the idea of just referring to him as “the wrestler” is really funny to me. Like, there’s nothing that would piss that dude off more.
