Roman might be my all time favorite dude not named Scott Steiner to watch go back and forth with the crowd. Dude literally knows the perfect reaction for like every situation and the absolute f***ing meltdown tonight was incredible.

If Cody was gonna go for the WHC, they would’ve had him win it instead of Seth. Cody just said on their media he still wants Roman

I just cant being myself to care about Jay Uso as a single, and certainly not as a main eventer.
As such, kind of a waste of the Roman pin imo.
Not a bad storyline by any means, just involving people I dont care about at all.

All time match.
WWE Main Event style is my favorite style when it's done right.
There's nothing like it.
Every little call back. The ref bump, the spear/spike combo. The double stack near fall.
And that ending? Chef's kiss!
I said it earlier and I stand by it, ALL TIME STORY. Only the Mega Powers beats it.

It's cool and all but it does immediately telegraph Jey losing at Summerslam. It also feels like they're building up Solo to be his Batista, and maybe that's what gets drug to Mania? Either way if that's the case, Cody's really gonna be going after the consolation belt and that's just a big ol "Woof" to me if so. Cody made it clear during the press conference that he’s still after Roman’s belt. There’s been nothing to suggest Solo is his Batista. That he leaves the family? Sure. All signs point to it being Roman/Cody 2 at Mania. Which yes, they took too long to do, but that seems to be the plan. I guess we'll see, it all depends on what the plans for Solo actually are I think stretching Cody's win out a whole other year is just dumb though no matter how it's sliced, but at least they've actively tried to make the Bloodline stuff compelling in the mean time.

For too long WWE has conditioned me to not care about non-title tag matches. I really did not get invested at all into this. Roman being pinned in a non-title match tag match. Don't care. I know he can be pinned. He gets visually pinned in every match. He was never booked as unpinnable.
This was really the only match of the night that I was completely disinterested in.

If Cody was gonna go for the WHC, they would’ve had him win it instead of Seth. Hell be basically buried the new title, as nicely as possible, during the MITB press conference. I don't see how. He had roman dead to rights at mania until solo pulled a spike out of his hat. He wants his lick back and if he sees roman again, he might be able to finish him once and for all. Of course he'd want another shot at him imo

For me it's good but there are some that connected to me a little harder Kenny/Hangman, Daniel Bryan's Mania win, KofiMania, Austin/Bret, Rock/Hogan, Taker/Michaels That being said, this storyline has hit like the wrestling peak when it hits. I think there have been too many dead spots (And Mania's finish just wasn't it for me) in it to put it as one of the greatest of all time, but it's one of the greatest of the last I'd say 15-20 years.

The Bloodline stuff wouldn’t be nearly as compelling if Roman lost at Mania, imo. They’ve been able to get at least another half year of hot feuds out of it, and maybe up to a year if this stays as hot through Philly, all while Cody has gotten even more over.

Daniel Bryan's run to WM 30 & Kofi-Mania are also all timers. As is Austin vs McMahon. When WWE tries, it can be the best wrestling product on earth. They've coasted before, admittedly. But lately it's been amazing again.

I can’t remember the last time I’ve been fooled by a near-fall as hard as I was for the double pin of the Usos.

Jey Uso turning a shoulder up in to a dick punch was the most fundamentally sound thing I've ever seen There was some good callbacks in this match In the last match Jey and Roman had, Jimmy got caught in the Choke which forced Jey to give up. This time Jimmy was able to stand up and overpower Roman off him due to not having a bad leg

The finish was also the exact same as the first time Roman was pinned 10 years ago (Sep 23 2013 Raw) with Jimmy crouching in the corner as Jey hits the splash on Roman and pins him.

It’s nice we can do this stuff for WWE for once, because AEW does this “Oh, this is how they were standing when this other thing happened” stuff all the time.
