It looks decent so far. This really needs to nail the humour, though and have it toeing the perfect line between being funny and quirky but without going too far to where it becomes stupid and with a solid plot and characters, too. The games toe that line perfectly.
The recent Twisted Metal series actually nailed that style perfectly.

I wonder if they’re gonna start with the original fallout, or take bits from each game, as I’d love to see Diamond city, and new Vegas for real. By the sounds of it, it seems that theya re doing their own thing and not following the games. But, it would be pretty cool if they have a sort of "road trip" storyline with each season set in a different area. I would absolutely LOVE to see live action New Vegas and Rivet City and Nuka Cola World. Oh, and this NEEDs a Mister Gutsy to be one of the main character's companions. I'd settle for a Mister Handy. Just a fun robot following around. |

The pictures look good and have me hopeful this’ll be a good show. And for anyone that has AppleTV+ check out a show called “Silo”. It’s basically a Fallout prequel.

I'm interested to see what the show picks and chooses to keep for its cannon. Like timeline wise the show is set 15 years post New Vegas and take place in Los Angeles aka the Boneyard meaning the show is going to have some decisions to make regarding the NCR.

This looks surprisingly good so far. They've done a good job of capturing the retro-futuristic aesthetic of the games and have some of the humor intact, too.

I'm cautiously optimistic at this stage. 'Fallout TV Show' sounds like a 37% RT concept from 2010 or something but they genuinely appear to have nailed the tone, the production looks big budget, some of the landscape shots are almost like David Lean. I especially love the concept of Goggins' character, and incorporating that kind of New Vegas cowboy aesthetic is something Fallout wouldn't feel complete without. Some might gripe about unimportant lore decisions (the NCR doesn't exactly look healthy) and losers will definitely whine about the temerity of the show having a female lead but on the whole it looks like a faithful, well-intentioned and well-made adaption of Fallout, which is more than most properties get. Only time will tell if the creative spark is there to make good intentions good TV, but Westworld season one proves J. Nolan is more than capable of doing it - and the Fallout universe period has a lot more to give than the Westworld concept.
Now - get Big Iron in the soundtrack.
