This hit me again last night when I was checking something on Wikipedia and the section of “recent deaths” caught my attention when I say bray Wyatt listed there.

So, uh, there's an article on TMZ that goes in depth in what reportedly happened. I'm gonna put it in spoilers because I know it's upsetting. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}
WWE superstar Bray Wyatt experienced a series of heart complications in the months leading up to his death, and a doctor-recommended heart defibrillator was not with him when they found his body ... TMZ has learned.
According to law enforcement records, obtained by TMZ, Wyatt -- real name Windham Rotunda -- told his girlfriend he was going to take a nap Thursday, and she became concerned when she heard his alarm going off about an hour later without stopping.
The report says Windham was discovered in his bed, not breathing, and was turning blue. Windham's girlfriend called 911, as her mother attempted CPR ... but he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Cops spoke with Windham's immediate family members who said he had COVID in March 2023 and developed heart complications -- causing him to have a "weak lower part of his heart."
In fact, just a week before he died, Windham was hospitalized for a heart issue. He had a follow-up appointment with doctors the morning he died and was advised to continue to wear an external heart defibrillator -- a device designed to treat people experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.
Though it's not known if the device would have saved his life, investigators determined Windham was not wearing the defib at the time of his death ... they later located it inside his vehicle parked in the driveway.
God damn it... his career was done. No way could he have been expected to compete. Shame on us for blaming the company or Bray himself for creatively botching his return. Even if he wore the defibrillator... it seems like this would have ended tragically at some point Makes you wonder... similar to Brodie, did people within the WWE sense this was going to happen and only seemingly came out of left field to those not in his circle?

It sounds like up until the issue that necessitated the hospital visit a week or so ago when he was given the defibrillator people were feeling positive that not only were his health issues under control but he could even return to wrestling soon. His dad said as much a couple weeks ago and there were reports that storyline ideas were being discussed for a potential return. After that last hospital visit though even if he survived I don't think he'd have ever been cleared to wrestle again. I know some wrestlers like MVP have heart conditions and were able to continue their careers but I don't think that would have been the case here. Of course it would still have sucked for him to have never been able to wrestle again but damn do I now wish we lived in the reality were he retired, lived a long life and maybe even was part of creative for years to come or did managerial stuff guiding a next generation Wyatt Family.

No way Triple H, someone who has a defibrillator himself, would clear someone with this condition.

Honestly all these deaths have taught me that tomorrow is not guaranteed and we should cherish the moments we have and live in the seconds we're granted while on this plane and tell everyone we love them

Your husband telling you he's going to take a nap and just that's the last time you ever see him alive is just f***ing heartbreaking, the whole situation is. As the article said there's no telling if that would have saved his life but it'll always be a what if that unfortunately exists when talking about this.

Drew's bit about Bray in FCW promo class is hilarious
"They say he was always that good. That's not true. We were all terrible."

It's just crazy to show you the impact he had on so many people in such a short amount of time. There is a quote I love and it's A man doesn't die when he's dead. He dies when he's forgotten and Bray will never be forgotten

So much better. This gave the talent a chance to decompress and take it all in. Opposed to just going on air and being Raw and breaking down. Hearing them all talk like this, calm, laughing and celebrating makes this awesome. On a side note, I could listen to 5 hours worth of stories about Bray, if these few stories are a testament to the man he was.

God, Drew saying “We should be going to a wedding, not a funeral.” That hurts my soul. It also makes me think Bray and JoJo were going to marry imminently. Goddammit, I was done screaming at God asking him ‘why?’ about this.
