So as of this typing, Orange Cassidy has held the title now known as the AEW International Championship for almost a year (will officially be a year October 12). In that time, he has had great matches, defending the title often.
All good things must come to an end though. So, seeing the lay of the AEW landscape and taking into account everyone he's faced up to this point, who would you have eventually dethrone him?
Even though he just lost one title, I'm half thinking maybe Jack Perry could move from FTW to International in his heel pursuit of gold (I may have missed a match they had already as I had some issues that caused me to miss several weeks of AEW).
What say you, F.A.N.?

My answer 2 months ago was Swerve or Switchblade. My answer now is Swerve or Switchblade.
Though having him lose it to Mox and have Mox drop it to Kingston at either Grand Slam, Full Gear, or Wrestle Dream also works

I would go with Swerve.

With how cold he's become over the last few months this makes sense to bring him back up. Could actually wrestle more often and defend it when he goes back to DDT. Swerve needs to win a fued and then get to the main event asap. With Cole and MJF staying face for now he should be top heel.

My top 2 are Swerve and Brody King.
Swerve is my top pick since he’s been one of AEWs must-watch talents that deserves to get a good run with a singles title.
And for Brody, I want that because it would be reminiscent of when Cody was taking on all comers and running himself into the ground, and then he faces a monster heel in Brodie Lee that absolutely destroys him and takes the title from him.

I feel like Mox is gonna beat OC at All Out (although I personally wouldn't mind Penta winning Wednesday and facing Mox, either.)

I would have had Swerve beat him for it in their match and I think he's still the right guy

I can't think of a better person to end the best title reign in recent memory than Brock Anderson.

Swerve is a choice I get why people would make, but honestly, he feels like he should win the TNT title off of Darby if Darby beats Luchasaurus. He feels like someone who could reinvigorate the TNT title, and it's so easy to see the network get behind him with "It's Swerve's House", etc.
If Miro beats Powerhouse Hobbs, maybe get Miro into position to win it off of OC, or if House of Black isn't going to recapture the trios, maybe build up Black to do it.

I don’t know but I think the time is ripe, he’s been beaten to a pulp. Don’t know who I find a-peeling to beat him though.

Dark horse answer: Ethan Page. The guy really needs something to make him feel like a big deal again and to get him away from the Matt Hardy stuff.

Dark horse answer: Ethan Page. The guy really needs something to make him feel like a big deal again and to get him away from the Matt Hardy stuff. He's a good option, and he also is someone who could benefit from it even if he held it for like a month or two, if they do not want to follow a long reign with another really long reign.
