So Vince McMahon changed from commentator and unspoken real boss to the evil Mr McMahon after the real life incident with Bret Hart. And lo, one of, if not the, greatest villains in wrestling history was born.
After seeing the footage of Tony being mercilessly booed by that Chicago crowd..could Tony do the same? This wasn’t the phoney baloney “let’s all boo the baddie” Don Callis “heat” after he turned on Omega. Because everyone knew this was real and those Chicago fans were pissed.
I’m not saying Tony could play the role quite like Vince did, but should they capitalise on this and try something different? Even if it just starts with Tony playing a heel version of the character he played during those Impact crossover ads, a cocky, sunglass wearing Tony flanked by goons until someone, Moxley maybe, stands up to him?
Could it, should it, be done?

after all this i'm predicting he actually does the opposite, he'll be on screen less and much more reserved with the roster

You have to be a verified pillpopper day tripper and cubehead to take the reaction of a few thousand goblins in Chicago (who did not disrupt the show and were not particularly pro-Punk by the end) as a sign that Tony Khan, a man with zero charisma outside of pretaped Impact ads, ought to become an onscreen heel

As an on-screen character, Tony is FAR closer to Linda than Vince.

CM Punk screwed CM Punk is factually true though.
But I did love Impact Tony Khan. He was hilarious.

I want him as an on screen character on Rampage, but not the other shows. Let's make Friday nights even weirder.

I already thought it was a possibility and this just helps make the transition easier.
Tony Khan had a rare non-announcement appearence in a backstage segment with MJF and Cole. MJF also tried to lead a thankyou Tony chant at Wembley after the show. I got a horrible feeling TK is slowly establishing an onsceen presense and relationship with them both for a reason.
When the bidding war of 2024 angle starts heating up I think Cole will win the title via screw job.
Then the story becomes if Cole was in on it or not. Can even refer back to him helping Tony with previous announcements. The eventual justification of having to betray MJF because he thought he was leaving him writes itself.
I don't think he'll go full Vince and would only do it to help establish a heel acting for him but few seem able to resist the lure of making themselves an onsceen character.

COLLISION WILL FEATURE THE RETURN OF mr. khan 😈 I read this in the voice of the guy doing the intro on Linkin Park's "Cure For The Itch".

Also, you can’t be the “Mr” of your family when you’re a trust-fund baby and your dad’s still around.

CM Punk: "Hi, kids! Welcome to Kamp Kollision! [Chortling] I'll see you in a few weeks. Until then, I've turned things over... to my bestest buddy in the whole wide world--[Dubbed Voice] Mr. Khan. I want you to treat--[Dubbed Voice] Mr. Khan. with the same respect you would give me. Now here's--[Dubbed Voice] Mr. Khan.
Mr. Khan: "Thank you, Krusty, and welcome, children. I am Mr. Khan, your head counselor. For the past 5 years, I was president of All Elite Wrestling... until it blew up. I'll take any questions you might have. You, and then one more."
Orange Cassidy: "Can we call you Uncle Khannie?"
Mr. Khan: "No. Last question."
MJF: "When do we get to see CM Punk?"
Mr. Khan: "Uh, he will be along eventually. In the meantime, our counselors Matt, Nick and Kenny... will be happy to handle any problems you may have.
[Jack Perry coughs]
Nick Jackson: "Looks like we got ourselves a troublemaker."

No. He’s too bloody awkward. Why do you think Roddy is getting so much mic time? He can even study that to see how to lean into the awkwardness or just allign his Mr Khan character with him so he looks better in comparison.
