Recently, Hulu has been real weird on my Roku stick.
It will play the initial commercial, and stop at 1 second mark preventing the show from starting. Yet it doesn’t do it on my smart tv or phone. I did some googling and it’s been happening to others recently, and I asked Hulu’s Twitter they said they heard and have been looking into it recently.
That Roku stick is usually pretty reliable and up to date.
My LG smart tv, try to play peacock on there for the past year and it will always stop and start with the playback. Almost like it’s constantly buffering. When it was working, it would do this weird thing whenever it returns from a commercial break where it would fast forward a little and I hve to pause it and rewind back. Very annoying. That Roku stick came in handy to replace that. No problems on Roku.
On the plus side it justifies having both, but it quite annoying.
The funimation app, I haven’t used in years but I remember when I was tryin got log in on an old Roku, it absolutely would not do it with the virtual remote app on my phone and I have to manually enter my email and passwords with the original remote. Maybe it was the other away around. Either way it was super annoying and took me awhile to figure out.

My first Roku stick would always get hung up on ads. I could never figure if it was the device or the few channels I watch. My newer model is mostly fine, but if I watch anything on the Shout! Factory channel inevitably gets hung up loading an ad and eventually exits to the main screen.

I only ever use streaming services on my desktop or rarely android phone, but I used to have an issue with Peacock and Firefox where it would crash my browser every time so I couldn't watch anything. Then I switched to using Peacock with Microsoft Edge and it works fine.

A couple of years ago, Netflix would have all sorts of issues when I tried running it on my phone. It would freeze, then play for a second, stop, play for a few seconds, freeze again and shut down unexpectedly. Worked fine on my iPod, though. And now works fine with my Firestick.

I use a Firestick. I was having a problem with TV shows on Disney Plus like Ashoka, Secret Invasion, etc. freezing on a black screen after the Disney Plus logo. You could skip ahead but it was always frozen on whatever you skipped to. Didnt happen with movies, just TV. I changed the video settings to the lowest and it stopped happening. But the bedroom Firestick always worked fine.

Peacock always randomly crashes on my Smart TV. It's by far the worst app I use.

I have a smart tv and the YouTube app just randomly loses sound. I have to force stop the app and restart it to restore the sound.

I feel like half the time I go on Twitch on my computer I have issues. It can load a 30 second ad in full 4k no problem but as soon as the stream starts it struggles to keep up anything 480p and above.

Peacock always randomly crashes on my Smart TV. It's by far the worst app I use. There are some episodes of shows on Peacock that would just freeze at a certain point on PS4. It wasn't all episodes but some, no issues on laptop. Peacock is dog shit.

MAX will just randomly lose sound or the sound drops n volume. Gotta back out of the show and go back in and it is fixed.
Really that and IWTV not always adding stuff to my watchlist are the only issues I have had.
