Couldn't fit the full question in the title lol but who's the most popular man and woman that has been Tombstoned?
Me and my buddies were at the bar tonight and started chatting about celebs that have taken wrestling moves and got into the above topic in our drunken stupor.
But who does the forum think is the answer for each? For men my pick was Pete Rose because he was known all over the sports world with his play and the gambling and whatnot and I think he would be more popular than any one wrestler, plus he took two Tombstones so he gets bonus points lol.
For the women, I don't think any female celebrities have taken a Tombstone no? So it would probably would be the most popular women's wrestler who took a Tombstone right? I don't have an answer for that atm but I'm interested to see what everyone comes up with

Linda McMahon took one from Kane. She's not popular but is definitely well known outside of wrestling.

Good call but I would have to think a women's wrestler who was popular would have the edge over her no? There's like 1000 more politicians that are more known than her because she's quiet, like for example if Becky ever took one (pretty sure she hasn't) I feel like she would have #1 easily

It’s definitely a toss-up between Pete Rose and Hogan, because there have definitely been times when one was more popular than the other.
I haven’t rewatched the Attitude era much, but I assume the Rock took a tombstone, in which case he’d be way up there, also.

It has to be Hogan over Rose cause Rose wasn't as internationally known as Hogan, wasn't he? I know Rose for being tombstoned.

Pete was a huge baseball star, hall of fame level player who got caught gambling and was banned from the baseball Hall of Fame, still talked about a lot today, back then it was a huge shadow over the MLB

Apart from Linda I can only think of Tori getting tombstoned, from the female side of things.
Has Logan Paul taken a tombstone?

Cheap answer, but The Rock has been in films that made over a billion dollars and he has definitely taken a tombstone. Same with Batista.
Sure they weren't AAA movie stars at the time but you can't deny they're famous and have taken the move.

Did Trish or Lita ever get tombstoned during that 2002-03 Taker heel run?

The Rock or Hogan by a million miles. Don't forget the rest of the world has little to no clue who Pete Rose is.
Genuinely I only know him because he got tombstoned at Wrestlemania.

I'm assuming the Tombstone only counts if it's from Taker or Kane, right? Because there's all sorts of popular women that would have eaten Tombstones touring joshi promotions or even places like Shimmer or Shine before they hit it big.

No, it can be from anyone, just a Tombstone itself not a Taker Kane one specifically. And I didn't think about that, that's a good point, do you have some women that come to mind for that?

It's hard for me to recall anything off hand, but WWE is really the only promotion where the move is taboo if you aren't Taker or Kane. In recent memory, Billie Starkz uses the Tombstone as a frequent highspot, and then there's Kris Statlander who uses the leg hook Tombstone as the Big Bang Theory/_____ Night Fever. And you do have to wonder if someone like Becky Lynch might have taken one working around the world before getting signed with WWE.

Very good points, I think we probably could realistically eliminate Becky off the list just because even on the indies she was still kind of popular in North American women's wrestling as Rebecca and I don't think any women was using the Tombstone at that time. But do you think if she did take one she would be the pick?
