I don't know why but that's a "What if" that i have never seen or heard anybody bring up, but realisticly this doesn't seem that unbeliavble for me atleast back in 2002. Shawn was gone for a long time as we all know and returned post-WM 18. Tna became a thing around mid 2002 i believe! Just imagine if he and Vince can't come to a agrement and he doesn't returns to WWE and instead joins Tna. What could've been? Which Feuds and Matches would we probably have got to see and would it made have been better?
Even if he just stays there for 1 or 2 Years and comes back to WWE around 2004. Would you have prefered that?

Swapping some of the best years of his career for winning the NWA Title off Slapnuts then losing it the very next show, joining SEX and stumbling across a dwarf spanking his plank in a garbage can? Don't think so.

I think he'd had have too much loyalty to WWE to make the leap considering how much he got away with in his prime and along with that, TNA at that time wasn't able to keep itself in check. If they couldn't stop CM Punk fighting with Teddy Hart or the no shows or other backstage hijinx, what chance did they have with a Shawn Michaels who could have easily gotten out of his Born Again mentality without people he mostly knew backstage? There was Waltman around that time, sure, but it wasn't like he was doing any favors for himself then either.

One of two things happens:
1) with Hall and X-Pac backstage, he falls into old habits (maybe not drugs, but definitely being a diva) and becomes a nightmare.
Or
2) he decides that some of the stuff making air offends his sensibilities and either demands changes or he loses his smile again.
Either way, I don't see him lasting longer than a few months.

Sure but it was also a good way to get a better contract at the time. In 2002, around the time of becoming Born Again? No chance. Especially with how much they helped pay for his recovery and such.

A returning Shawn Michaels under 2002 Vince Russo and Jeff Jarrett booking would have had so much f***ing nonsense about what dude was doing years earlier that it wouldn't have been worth it. Like I can literally guarantee that he would have faced Jeff Jarrett and lost to a Montreal Screwjob finish within like 4 matches.

There's no scenario where Russo is booking Shawn in TNA that the very first appearance on TV isn't like "OH MY GOD ITS SHAWN MICHAELS WHO SCREWED BRET HART IN MONTREAL!!!" Followed by a match or angle where that is the entire focal point and it just leads to Shawn screwing someone again with absolutely zero return on the investment.

I'm pretty sure Vince never lets that happen. He'd already paid him more money in those four years he was gone than most of us will ever dream of making. It was a downright miracle that about 15 or 16 months after WCW went bankrupt that he was able to return to the ring, not missing a step, and arguably better than ever.

That would have shaped the way mid/late 2000s WWE played out for sure without him being their veteran workhorse.
On the plus side, would have gotten a few baller HBK/Styles matches.

I just cannot imagine a scenario where that actually happened, however much they were able to pay him.

What if Shawn Michaels made an appearance in FMW as a special guest referee?
Wait, what?
