Lethal Weapon, and it was a staple line for him. I know he said it in both the first one, as well as four, but not sure on the other two.

Eventually, there comes a point in a man's life where we all just get too tired for this crap.
Specifically what the "crap" is varies from person to person.
But it happens to us all.

I think he said it pretty much in all of them, and in 4 I think Mel Gibson says it once before he tries to convince himself and Glover that they are in fact, not too old for this crap.

Yeah, he said it in all of them. 3 also brought us the classic "3 days till retirement"

No No NO That line was uttered before LETHAL WEAPON....two full years before that 1987 Shane Black-penned action flick. The movie? A pretty damn good one actually. In the prologue sequence of Agent Chance (William Petersen) defusing an attempted terrorist bombing at a Presidential speech, he and his old partner/friend/mentor rest...and he says.... "I'm Getting too old for this s***."

I think the first time it was used in a movie was in Stripes. When they bust out of the camp at the end the Sarge on the roof of the truck says it.

For those of you who haven't seen the "Maverick" film starring Mel Gibson, there was a scene where Bret Maverick (Gibson) is in a bank which gets robbed. One of the robbers is yelling at Bret, and at one point, Bret pulls the robber's bandanna off, revealing that it's Danny Glover. They stare at each other for a moment, as if they recognize each other. Then they shrug it off as the robbers get away, with Danny Glover muttering "I'm gettin' too old for this shit".
Just thought I'd mention it.

It may have been said before 1987, but, when it's quoted today, most people are referencing "Leathal Weapon" (assuming they even know they're referencing something)

We don't need NO stinkin badges!" Most people think its from BLAZING SADDLES...but it was uttered decades earlier in John Huston's THE TREASURE OF THE SIERRA-MADRE. now "Badgers?!?!? BADGERS?!?!? We don't need NO stinkin BADGERS!"...thats unique to UHF.

It's actually an old inside joke that I have with my friends that came from Lethal Weapon 3. BTW, I love those movies. Even 3, although for the life of me, I can't recall anything about it other than Rene Russo.

Oh, whoops.
And on a side note, Rene's hot and all, but, if I'm not mistaken, I believe part 3 was the one where Joe Pesci had a Dennis Rodman-esque haircut. (And, on a more serious note, I believe that was the one where he actually made it onto the poster, which was a big deal at the time)
