Attack of the Clones. Everything Obi-Wan was really good, space detective Obi-Wan? Give me a movie of that. But, any momentum the movie picks up because of just completely dies and buries itself with Anakin and Padme's story.
Rise of Skywalker saw Adam Driver continue to nail his role as Kylo (despite them redeeming him), the Ghost was in the final space battle, and Kanan appeared in a Star Wars movie (granted just his voice).
Holiday Special gave us the debut of Boba Fett, and Blind Wave's reaction to it.

I literally rank my favorite Star Wars movies:
IV Holiday Special VI V
Phantom Menace used to be my pick as “worst,” but IX is just insultingly bad.

The Phantom Menace. for all the hype, and Darth Maul face on everything.

The Last Jedi
Yeah, The Rise of Skywalker sucked as well but I'll give it a pass as J. J. Abrams had to clean up the mess that Rian Johnson made.

The Rise of Skywalker because it's crapness goes back to undermine previous movies and makes it difficult for future ones. Others were more self contained and easily ignorable.
The last Jedi removing the focus on a few families and setting up more potential force users was just what the series needed. Rey being a nobody was a perfect twist so it's particularly annoying that was retconned.

I didn't think it was possible to make a worse Star Wars movie than Attack of the Clones, and then I saw The Rise of Skywalker If I hadn't already gone through the same thing with Game of Thrones spoilers, I wouldn't have believed the Rise of Skywalker spoilers because they were just so goddamn stupid. Someone was actually paid money to write that nonsense about the dagger and the Death Star crash site. The great thing about the sequel trilogy is that there is all varieties of terrible to find. I'd almost take Rise of Skywalker's bafflingly stupid choices over the lazy retreading of Force Awakens. I mean, almost, Rise of Skywalker is definitely the worst by far and I haaaaated Last Jedi. I paid zero dollars to watch it and overpaid.

Hot take maybe but I don't like Rogue One. I find all the main characters so boring that I don't care about their ultimate fates. Visually the film is great but I'm a guy that loves the CGI fight at the end of the Power Rangers movie so I don't actually care about visuals.
I don't think Last Jedi or ROS are great by any means but I like the characters well enough to be mad they are going on shitty adventures.

If my life depended on it I couldn't tell you the name of half of the characters from Rogue One. Andor is cheating. Jyn Orso? Erso? Blind Not-Jedi. Blind Not-Jedi's Gun Friend. Sassy Robot. Dad Erso. Grand Moff Tarkin. Bad Guy Who Might Also Be a Moff? I recall the first half of Rogue One being a bit of a slog with a few too many gratuitous callbacks. (Dr Evazan and Ponda Baba?! f*** off.) But that beach storming sequence through to the end was ace.

I gave Disney too much credit at first. Force Awakens was basically a rehash of Star Wars but I felt like it was meant to send the message that they had heard the numerous complaints about the prequel trilogy and this would be a return to form. I also felt that the legacy of Force Awakens would depend greatly on Episode 8. I also gave Disney too much credit by assuming that if they were going to make a trilogy of movies based on a liscense they spent billions on, they would go into it with a plan. They alread had Marvel who had shown how having a plan and involving people who genuinely cared about the property could make record profits. Surely, Disney would not be stupid enough to make a trilogy with zero plan...right?
I actually enjoyed parts of the Last Jedi. I feel like they were trying to go for the feel of Empire Strikes Back where the heroes in the end kinda lose and everything seems up in the air and no one is really sure of anything. However, The Last Jedi took that and turned it up to 11. However, there are some aspects of it that are excellent. Rey being a nobody was much better than her being a Palpatine. Turning it into these lineages that were the best at the force no matter what didn't really work. I didn't hate that the sidequest with Finn failed because sometimes that happens. Sometimes you try your best and it doesn't work. Now, given the end result they probably should have spent much less time on it. I also wasn't expecting The Last Jedi to treat all the potential plot hooks of Force Awakens like a gordian knot and just cut through them all.
Rise of skywalker was fun enough in the moment. I had a good time while watching it. Later, on reflection the issues in the movie became immediately apparent. I think part of it though is my friend had mentioned about a Star Wars story from the early 90s that involved a clone of Palpatine returning with a fleet. This could have worked...if they had laid some kind of groundwork in the previous movies. That comes back to the fact that they had no overarching idea. Abrams remade Star Wars and left a bunch of plot hooks. Johnson threw them all in the trash with the Last Jedi and then Disney kinda went 'oh shit, we f'ed up'.
As bad as the prequels were, we knew there was a plan, an overarching story.
That said, Attack of the Clones would not be half as bad as it is, if they had removed that horrific attempt at a love story. Anakin "I love you" Padme "cool, you were 9 the last time I saw you" Anakin "I love you" Padme "I heard you the first time, you're still a kid to me" Anakin "I love you" Padme "Okay, you're getting a bit creepy now" Anakin "I love you" Padme "Seriously, don't make me get the mace" Anakin "I love you" Padme "oh look at the time, where is that guy with the restraining order?" Anakin "My arm was cut off" Padme "let's get married"
I think the funny thing is that the movies are probably the weakest part of Star Wars. So much of what has held people's imaginations came in the expanded universes, whether in books, videogames or television.

Characters are boring as shit. Aesthetic is dope. Ppl act like sw is the most toxic fan base, maybe it is FIIK, but one/two great films, and then a whole lot of good/bad. The prequels were dire pieces of shit. ROTJ felt mid within the OT. TFA was a retread. TLJ was TLJ. There’s still some good in everything, i still call myself a sw fan, but there’s also a lot of shit. I don’t blame fans for being into the expanded universe/lore whatever the f*** they’re going now, cuz the films are far from perfect.

I still enjoy Force Awakens, and ROTS definitely felt like a heavy over-correction from 8. Poe’s costly mistake in Last Jedi not playing a bigger emotional role with the character was a huge missed opportunity (especially with someone that has Isaac’s range) to give him a really good arc. I’m still often a bit taken back by how much people *LOATHE* 9, and I do think it’s dumb and fanficcy in spots (not the good fanficcy vibe, either), but unlike a good chunk of Clones at least shit is actually happening.

TROS was so bad that people convinced themselves that The Mandalorian was so much better than it actually was.

TROS was so bad that people convinced themselves that The Mandalorian was so much better than it actually was. When your boat sinks, anything that floats looks like a life preserver. First season of Mandalorian was already done airing before TRoS came out, and it was already getting rave reviews before TRoS came out. People just liked the Mandalorian. A lot. Not a tonne of explanation needed.

The Last Jedi
I was done with SW after the prequels, but I gave the sequels a shot. TFA was OK, but then this shitberg came along. It was so bad, I didn't even bother with the final film.
