Halloween Havoc 91 beginning with a terrible Chamber of Horrors match, but ending with Lex Luger vs Ron Simmons for the World Title. Eaton vs. Taylor was an underrated singles match too. And the start of the Dangerous Alliance. Superbrawl I had the Steiners vs. Sting/Lex, then...the debut of Oz, Big Josh and his bears, and Johnny B. Badd's debut. Rumble 2000 had Cactus/HHH...and Mae Young's puppies. WrestleMania 20 had Goldberg and Lesnar as the bad, and....say, what happened that was really good again?

ROH Supercard of Honor 2018 - You have the climax of the Cody vs Kenny feud that had been absolutely masterfully built resulting in a classic match that was beyond satisfying from an in-ring AND storytelling perspective. BUT you also had the Bully Ray heel turn that was the start of him becoming the centerpiece of each weekly ROH episode and show, causing more damage to the fanbase more than anything else did for a then-white hot ROH, eventually leading to Bully's crowd-killing choices at the G1 Supercard one year later. Royal Rumble 2015 had mabye the best Triple Threat Match Ever and also a horrible Rumble Match with an horrible Ending. Great call!

WCW in 1989 had a lot of what were basically one-match cards, so Clash of the Champions VI had my personal favourite match from the acclaimed Flair vs. Steamboat trilogy, but also had Ranger Ross beating the Iron Sheik by DQ.

SummerSlam 1995 had the innovative second Ladder Match between Michaels and Razor, and a main event of Mabel vs. Diesel.

WrestleMania 25 had the GREATEST WRESTLEMANIA MATCH OF ALL TIME between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker and the Most Boring WrestleMania Main Event Of All Time between Triple H and Randy Orton.

ROH The Era Of Honor Begins has as its opening segment the Christopher Street Connection declaring ROH stands for "Ring Of Homosexuals" and making out before being attacked by Da Hit Squad. It seems like the segment was supposed to be a declaration that ROH was against gimmicks and standing for great wrestling, but comes across as aggressively homophobic and mega-cringey all around. When I threw the DVD on at a friend's house, this segment caused my friend to immediately write the company off as not worth investing time or enthusiasm into.
The show ends with a classic triple threat match between Low Ki, Bryan Danielson, and Christopher Daniels that set the tone for what ROH would actually be about for much of its existence. And this match instantly made me a ROH-bot in general and a Bryan Danielson fan in particular.

do 2 night Manias count?
Because the last 3 in a row have been night 1 ending with an amazing match and night 2 ends with Roman winning while flipping off the crowd.

does it have to be the same show? Mankind won the world title for the first time the same night as the finger poke of doom.

Why did that need to go 17 minutes? A combination of HHH’s ego and desire to expose Steiner in a long match. Did the same shit to Goldberg. We know from his booking that he understands how to present people like them…so it was a pure case of protecting his spot by humbling newcomers he perceived as a threat. I feel like that's possible, sure, but I'm more inclined to think he really overestimated his ability to have compelling matches with them and that he didn't want to only get to be on the show for like an 8 minute match. It's still an ego trip, regardless.

There was an episode from Raw Oct. 2014 which had a multi man match with Hornswoggle (dressed as a Gator and looking like a little kid wearing PJs (he was teaming with Titus and Heath who called themselves Slator Gator)) and they were facing Los Madadors and their small mascot. The announcers were laughing at Hornswoggle and the mascot but the crowd HATED it. They also hated Today Show hosts Hoda Kotb and Kathy Lee having a segment with Adam Rose.
On the flip side, The Rock made a surprise appearance by interrupting Rusev and Lana.

Wrestlemania 21 had the first Money in the Bank, and Big Show vs Akebono
Beach Blast 92 had the Steamboat/Rude iron man, plus that bikini contest between Missy and Madusa

Speaking of ROH in the late 2010s: G1 Supercard had Jay and Okada an a killer match, and also the Enzo and Cass bullshit and the "It's only good booking in hindsight" giving the belt to Matt "dear god, why?" Taven instead of Marty Scurll
