They did when he turned heel because it was getting over The best part was they had just given Cesaro a “King of Swing” shirt modeled on the old King of the Ring logo and then pulled it because they wouldn’t let him do the move. They modeled his entire gimmick after it... that's why he had the Tornado Warning sirens in his intro.

Cesaro's booking during this time was the perfect example of WWE spite booking. It was so, so stupid, and designed to make Cesaro look stupid.
During the buildup to Survivor Series 2014, when they had the genuinely hot angle leading into the main event, Team Cena had four guys, Team Authority had five, and then Cesaro's music hits, the place goes nuts! Cesaro comes down, finally turning babyface like everyone had been dying for... and then joins the Authority's side of the brawl, for no f***ing reason. Literally no reason. He wasn't in the match. He didn't interfere in the match. It was absolutely pointless and just made Cesaro's character look like a f***ing moron.
