That's very surprising. Kind of hoping he ends up in WWE, feels more novel.

End of an era.
Interested to see where he goes next.

Man oh man, I can only imagine how much NJPW is panicking. Or should be panicking even if they thought it was possible. They clearly thought they had a shot to keep him or they wouldn’t have waited until the last two weeks of his deal to announce it.

Great for the ROH six man tag titles I guess. Isn't Okada 1/3rd of the current NEVER Openweight 6 Man Champs? Not like he'd be unfamiliar lol It’s not even the top six man title in its own company.

Oh wow. I think AEW would be a more fun option to see him in as the highest I can picture his ceiling in WWE being "guy who loses to the champion"

Well he is 36 years old, if he wants to try and make it somewhere else, now is the time to try.
I have no idea who could replace him as the Ace though?

This kinda puts the Ospreay match into a new light.
In retrospect, it seems like they went balls to the wall because they knew they were never gonna do that again.
I think he’s going to WWE.

I know HHH is in charge now but I still don't trust it at all, because I can't say Io's championship reign has been great either currently...

Man, this is both shocking and such bad news for New Japan. I never expected him to leave. It’s hard to imagine what NJPW does next after building the company around him for so long.
Hope he goes to AEW.

With how rough Naito and Tanahashi look in the ring nowadays, definitely time to get off their ass and start making stars. Easier said than done though!

I think there's a chance, but it also could have just been a New Japan sendoff for both guys If he goes to AEW I doubt he and Will cross paths immediately anyway, so it was a way to close off a rivalry whether he goes there or not Depends on what he wanted, if he wanted what Ospreay got, I think Khan would give it to him immediately.

Well now that I've calmed down a bit I look forward to him going to the most obvious destination, the Los Angeles Dodgers.

I don't know what New Japan is going to do. This is the worst case scenario for them.
Their biggest star is leaving and they got no one to fill his role.

Gedo was too slow trying to build the younger guys.
Not having Okada put some people over in 2023 was a mistake.

Damn, this is insane. I can't imagine a point in the last 10 or so years when he wasn't almost a shoe in for either winning the G1 or main eventing Wrestle Kingdom in some fashion. I'd put WWE as an outside chance with AEW as the frontrunner. Being able to possibly still do NJPW if he wanted while exploring other opportunities is almost too good to pass out when talking about AEW. But honestly, as much as it hurts to say, I wouldn't say no to him in WWE. The pop for him would be insane and it would be kinda cool to see him work there. I would just hope he doesn't get the Nakamura treatment where he's the guy that always ALMOST wins the big one but chokes every time.
Just thinking if Tony signs him and Mone' though, that is a lot of dough he'll be shelling out. Crazy stuff.
