That period in time when Jim Ross would constantly call The Undertaker: "Booger Red" This was the absolute worst, this side of the weird commentary they had on those old Tokyopop FMW DVDs. Like Combat Toyota becoming Mother in Law

There's a guy in ddt and covers for tjpw when the usual English language commentary isnt there who seemingly treats it like a big research project and proudly reads out what he's learned from Wikipedia. Possibly called Hiroshi Ara.
So you get something like "Hikaru Shida usually wrestles in aew which is a company in America where she has wrestled Serena Deeb who has wrestled all over the world and was actually in a stable called the straight edge society with CM Punk in wwe"
It loses something in text form but it's strangely amusing when he takes forever to say something pointless and/or ends up making peope sound worse or breaks kayfabe.

Around the release of 'No Holds Barred' when Gorilla Monsoon said something to the effect of "I'm hearing there's Oscar talk for Mr Bollea."
I know they had to sell the movie, but dude...

WWE tried to put a guy over as super smart because he read... a book a month? Two books a month? Something that was in no way notable, numbers wise It was Ryback, who I doubt has even read one book in his entire life.

Michael Cole " *insert name here* loves to have fun!" him saying this goes back as far as 2002 from what I've been able to tell as I'm re-watching smackdowns from then. That was the kiss of death if you were a face. Ditto if you were a heel and Cole called you “a bully”. Chaz got the double whammy of being a kid from New Jersey who wanted to have fun.

Like Combat Toyota becoming Mother in Law For years I thought those were the dirt worse, the I got the Japanese Hardcore wrestling DVDS from Red Dragon. First one I got has Missy Hyatt and some greasy fat dude doing baddly dubbed commentary over WING and BJPW footage. With Missy going nuts for Trent Acid. The later vols drop Missy and it is two greasy fat guys. Doing a serious version of the Stranglemania commentary style.

"The Ordinary Man Who Does Extra Ordinary Things!"
Like, they were clearly going for "extraordinary", but Michael Cole always put a space between extra and ordinary so it sounded stupid.

I feel like Matt Striker has spent much of his career throwing out some of the wildest gibberish, like that Sexy Star derived her powers from the constellations. Lucha Underground's nature is such that I, to this day, do not know if it was a plot point (one which was never spoken of again, to my knowledge), or if it was just him being weird like suggesting Bao Nguyen was the "Poisoned Fist of the Orient", presumably as some kind of rib. The thing with him is that he wouldn't just have one nickname for someone, he'd rapid-fire list off like 16 of them. I don't remember all of them off the top of my head, but I remember him having a long list of them for Christian. Some say he's still listing nicknames for Christian to this day.

I have to wonder if that was him mocking Hogan, but then again, Monsoon would sometimes say the dumbest shit, so it's hard to rule it out.

I sort of understood when Jim Ross would go on and on about Dr Death being a standout at Oklahoma, Ron Simmons getting Heisman votes at Florida State, or Dan Spivey being a star at Georgia, because those are impressive achievements, but he would go on and on about Marcus Alexander Bagwell being a standout on the Sprayberry High School football team in Marietta, GA. From what I can tell, it's just a regular high school. It's one thing to be an Al Bundy or Uncle Rico hyping up your own generic high school sports career. It's a whole other thing doing it on someone else's behalf.

The WWE Universe has taken to calling Kofi Kingston "The Wildcat". By that same token, their continued pushing of "controlled frenzy" pissed me off to no end. By definition, a "frenzy" is wild and unpredictable. It cannot be controlled.
