The chiefs may have still won but if the extra point wasn’t missed the niners would’ve been 4 points up. So the chiefs would have needed a TD to win. With the wya the defense was playing in the fourth and OT they would've got it IMO.

Yeah, with all the scrutiny on him the last few weeks, last night was as poor a performance at the worst time possible. Nantz seems done with him

Man, things got really heated in here tonight. But it's nothing compared to all of the Ridge Holland and Gallus fans that'll be going at it in the NXT thread. Gallus fans don't exist.

Yeah Tony Romo is a horrendous analyst. He never shuts the f*** up. Hell, on the game winning TD immediately after it's scored, he's going on about the play and completely ruining the moment and talking over the pop from the crowd. He never lets anything sink in; he always have to be talking nonstop. Jim Nantz deserves so much better than to be saddled with him.

So Kyle shanahan given his poor record in the Super Bowl was going to wing it, if it got to OT ?

Do we think travis kelce faces any consequences for him yelling and bumping into Andy Reid on the sideline ? I think he should but don’t hold out much hope.

NFL will just say Travis is such a firey competitor that he couldn't help it and meant no harm. At most he'll get slapped with a fine that Swift could pay with her loose pocket change

When he was talking about Super Bowl experience I kept saying out loud "WTF are you talking about?" Because he never reached a SB and got blasted by less talented teams. Although that seems to be the Dallas norm haha.

If CBS needs a QB to be Nantz's color guy that has Super Bowl experience, there's this guy called MATT RYAN who works for CBS and was on the preshow yesterday for goodness sake.

Funniest part of all of this..
The Chiefs were given the SB trophy by John Elway..on the Raiders homefield, that was covered in Chiefs confetti and MVS planted the Chiefs flag at midfield of the Raiders stadium...all of that is hilarious.

If Kyle Shanahan really didn't coach or even know the new playoff OT rules, that's just professional malfeasance. Wow.
I mean, I didn't know the rules either. But I'm just some schmuck watching the game on TV, not an NFL head coach.

Giant dropping of the ball by Shanahan, but also (not related) a pretty big one by the NFL in terms of fans knowing what the f*** is going on. I've watched football all my life, casual fans must've been even more bewildered.

Imagine if the Niners scored and celebrated like they won. God that would’ve been a meme for all eternity. They would’ve never lived that down, especially if they lost afterwards.

I've watched football all my life, casual fans must've been even more bewildered. The rule was apparently implemented after Bills fans and talking heads complained about Josh Allen not getting a chance to answer the Chiefs in OT in the Divisional Round of the 2021-22 NFL postseason. This was the first playoff game that went to OT with the new rules. CBS could've done a lot better job of explaining it than they did, but yeah.

I’m still in awe of the Niners coaches. Why does Shanahan suddenly decide to go nine straight passes in the third when the Chiefs were not quite on their heels, but stumbling slightly. Why does Wilks go pure prevent in the late third after the go-ahead field goal?
They all suck. You cant in good conscience fire the guy who’s taken you to two Super Bowls and 4 of 5 Conference Finals … but the man is never ever going to win a game that matters.

Water under the bridge he already apoligized with the following statement to the staff It's me, hi, I'm the problem, it's me It's me, hi, I'm the problem, it's me It's me, hi, everybody agrees
