I do find it interesting that all the stuff you hear about Shanahan the last two days is the same sorta stuff that was said about Andy Reid before he finally won the Superbowl.

It is funny how quickly Andy Reid went from having the reputation of never being able to win the Big One to being on the short list of coaches who have won 3 or more.

That's the one thing I do like about the Chiefs being as dominant as they are. If there's any coach in the league who has earned the chance to coach a dynasty team it's Andy Reid, by far.

As much as I hate the Eagles, I always had a lot of respect for Reid when he was their HC even when I laughed a lot at his horrible clock management.

Yeah, it's hard to hate ol' Andy. I was laughing hysterically at his ice mustache a few weeks ago.

Andy Reid is a good example. I don’t think that he’s any better of a coach than he was in Philly, but he found an elite QB and put together a good coaching staff and a lot of weapons. 🤷🏻♂️

It's funny, I actually think one of two of Reid's Philly teams could beat this Chiefs team. His Philly teams were loaded except at WR (much like KC this year) and when Owens finally showed up the rest of the team had taken a step back. Tra Thomas and Jon Runyan led just a mean offensive line. Hugh Douglas, Jeremiah Trotter, Brian Dawkins, Bobby Taylor, etc. But they ran into some great teams.
It's tougher to build top teams with crazy QB money now, but the Chiefs have managed to build a really solid line and Mahomes (like Brady) navigates the pocket really well and gets the ball out quick so even when the line isn't great, it's good enough. Their secondary is great, Jones is a menace, and Spags put together another ring-worthy defense.
