I guess it was intentional, but it was wild that the longest reigning champ of this era was just a background character for The Rock's part of the segment. One of my big complaints about Roman during his Superman face push was that he always had such a lack of presence, especially when feuding with badasses like Brock and Joe. Kinda felt that way watching that promo. Maybe it was intentional, but that stoic Head of the Table schtick was looking like small potatoes compared to how charismatic Rock was. Could be the point for all we know. It’s absolutely the point, and I expect Cody or Seth to really drive the point home to cause a fracture in the Bloodline.

I fully expect Roman to tire of the Rock quickly. They have been in cahoots with this 'biggest wm main event of all time", but Roman has spent years now proclaiming himself to be the head of the family, the head of the table. He has gaslight and beat down his cousins how many times to make sure they acknowledge him. He may be happy to have the Rock standing with the bloodline now, but he will tire of it quickly as the Rock begins to take the spotlight more and more.
I'm genuinely curious when he's going to demand the Rock acknowledge him and what the result of that will be.

Saw it pointed out that Rock turns and points at Roman when he says, "I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure you walk out of Mania as a loser," so that might well mean something. I definitely think it's a possibility that Rock and Cody concocted this whole plan for Rock to help take down the Bloodline from within then at Mania when Roman thinks Rock is about to screw over Cody he instead helps neutralize Solo/Jimmy/Heyman which leaves Roman/Cody alone to finish the match. Then you can easily get to face Rock v heel Roman and fans won't turn on it as long as Roman's dropped the title first. It'll be interesting to see if there's any like violent Bloodline beatdowns on Cody/Seth in the next 4-6 weeks that Rock takes part in. In that case it would stretch believability. As long as he sticks to trash talk though he could easily be fooling everyone and come out of this a face. Recalling the Daniel Bryan/Wyatt Family thing, was it ever revealed in kayfabe whether Bryan was playing them from the start or if he genuinely was brainwashed for a bit before snapping out of it? That was one I always thought made the face look weird if it was the former because during his brief spell with the Wyatts he was happily kicking the shit out of other faces in these group beatdowns. CM Punk did the same in The New Breed for a few weeks. It's pretty dickish that yeah I get my big moment at the end revealing that I've tricked the bad guy but all you faces who unfortunately got in my way while I was "pretending" I guess just have to suck it up and forgive me because I'm a good guy again lol.

I don't like that Dwayne is having fun. He should be miserable.

The Rock made me actually laugh with his opening line. God, heel Rock is *so* much better than babyface Rock. As a heel, basically everything he says is platinum plated.
I'm writing this post while watching the promo, and the wives/inbred references made me hyena laugh, honestly. It's so easy to forget The Rock is capable of this when he spent so long playing the boring hits.
Also, given WWE put the full segment online, props for it being a 17 minute segment of which 9 minutes was entrances I guess??

From what I remember Bryan cut a promo saying he pretended to be under the influence of the Wyatts so he could get close to Bray and apologised to the Usos for beating them up but he had to make his allegiance look genuine.

Credit to "Fog Jones" on Twitter for the following stuff:
If we don't physically see Rock beating down Cody, Seth or some other babyfaces pre-Mania them I'm starting to buy that this theory may be correct. Cody and Rock will be contenders for smartest faces in wrestling history if they kayfabe play the Bloodline for 2 months, take Roman's title, make the group fall apart and have the crowd cheering for a future face Rock v heel Roman match which they were campaigning against not even 2 weeks ago.

Maybe a segment where Rock stops Solo and Jimmy from joining in a beatdown to let Roman handle it alone, as potential foreshadowing for what happens at WM?

What I loved about it was that there wasn’t any meta shit or overthinking the content too much, it was essentially just “Cody we’re gonna get you and kick your ass!”

Another option they have now is to bring back the idea of Cody v Rock in night one with the winner facing Reigns in night two, then Cody v Reigns in night two with Rock costing Reigns the match.
