The most classic Rock promo we've had in years upon years... dude brought out some of the classic material tonight and not playing the hits material like... the material that made people love him in the first place.
Very welcomed, but he's still missing Is Cooking as a theme lol

So, are we getting Austin as Cody’s equalizer versus the Rock?

So, are we getting Austin as Cody’s equalizer versus the Rock? Is Seth Rollins not good enough for everyone? What's that? He's not? Okay, fair enough.

By the end of this run he’s going to win the fans back over big time. He killed it tonight!

Credit where it’s due, I never thought Rock would have an interest in being a heel again. That was great. We are so back.

Missed the show but saw some stuff online that he's being called The High Chief of the Bloodline?

F I R E
That was a prime ROCK promo. No side-to-side nonsense, no randomized catchphrases, just out there throwing fire like no others can when they are on their game.
I cannot wait for this to play out. Absolutely incredible stuff.

Hmmm....(For context, it's a particular line Rock says that seems like he's addressing Cody, but could be addressing Roman instead...)

Also noted, they cut to Roman's face looking kinda miffed when Rocky says their story is just beginning. As if Rocky has just come in and made the faction about himself.. which, he has to be fair.

Not gonna lie I completely 180’d on Dwayne. I didn’t grow up on him, but now I realize why he is one of the GOAT even though his run was short. Him as a heel though is way >>>>>> than him as a face

Good promo, but the stuff about the Chiefs & Jazz didn't make sense.
Cody took the loss like a man, worked his arse off for a year and earned the right by winning the Rumble to challenge Roman.

I think that’s probably deliberate - change the narrative to make it look like Cody just demanded the rematch when in actual fact he earned it and it was Rock who turned up demanding to fight Roman.

Kind of comical that Utah has a pretty high Pacific Islander population…mainly because a lot of them have been converted to Mormonism and the Rock dunked on them all night.

I would assume the idea is that The Rock is so out of touch he didn't watch the Royal Rumble. But either way he's a heel so being wrong is part of the gig.

I figure that can be chalked up to heels lie. We all know that Roman only won due to interference. We all know that Cody got more than a 3 count on Roman (for that matter, so did basically all of Roman's challengers). The only problem was the ref was unconscious. Rock playing it like people are in the wrong for expecting the royal rumble winner to main event Wrestlemania, seems like some solid heel tactics.
