Sting is a very loyal person. I don't even think he will come back for a legends deal. AEW/Tony took care of him so he will stay loyal to.him. Plus he doesn't seem like he's in need of money.

If he can get a comfy Legends deal, sure.
I think AEW may actually try to set up something similar for themselves with him.
But it'll be entirely up to him. He doesn't have to do anything he doesn't want to, great situation to be in.

I don't see why he wouldn't take an image/likeness deal where they can make action figures and video games with him in it. Seems like it'd be more lucrative than an AEW "merch only" deal at this point. I don't see him showing up on WWE TV too much, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did that kind of deal.

I'm sure the guy in charge now has a lot more respect for Sting than Vince did— The worst thing about it is they had Sting shake HHH's hand after, even though HHH cheated his ass off to win. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if the handshake was Sting's idea, but the entire match and storyline was a mess. Sting losing is probably the least awful part of it, and I think the fans cared more about that then Sting did. edit: As said only way I could see him back is Luger. I could See HHH wanting to actually get the Taker/Sting Face off (because allegedly it was Vince that didn't see it as a big deal from what I remember) but I think everyone realizes that time is WAAAAY past.

They never treated Sting with the respect he deserved. Even after the terrible booking of his in ring stuff, having him lose to HHH in his debut and then shake his hand even though he was screwed all while the commentary buried him for being a WCW loser, he was treated as a sort of Brutus Beefcake or Sgt Slaughter tier of legend. Like he wasn't anything special or a huge legend. It was ridiculous. He claimed for a long time he was resistant to sign with WWE because he was worried about how they'd portray him and his worries were proved right. If WWE make him a huge offer and he can't resist it then fair enough but I really hope not. He fits so much better in AEW than he ever did in WWE. There were some reports that the real reason Goldberg got so much when he arrived in WWE again was because Vince realized after Sting's run and how much people responded to it that there was money in pushing ex-WCW stars as real legends in their own right, so they pulled in Goldberg. A decade and a half after they bought WCW< and with a guy who already held the world title in WWE over a decade earlier. WWE didn't just not do a good job with Sting, but built him up a run specifically on the belief that they shouldn't push him as the legend he was because he came from WCW. Vince never got over his bullshit. It was absolutely idiotic. These guys just worked for WCW. They weren't literally WCW. Like...you're not getting one over on Ted Turner by booking them poorly. You're only reinforcing the belief that they should have never signed there to begin with. Goldberg, Sting, DDP, Steiner...all of them just treated as fodder. It's like if you have two rival doughnut shops, and one doughnut shop puts the other out of business, only to hire all their former employees just to humiliate them. What good does that do?

Maybe he’ll sign a Legends deal where they make action figures and Sting can appear in the video games, but I can’t envision him making any appearances for WWE outside of a possible induction for Luger.
AEW fits Sting just now. Can’t see any particular reason for him going back to WWE.

Heres a scenario that could work: Sting and Undertaker could do their long entrances, as the opening 15 minutes to a battle of their proxies yet to be named. They would do promos, act as managers and lend their star power to an epic match without needing to take bumps.

As soon as the bell rings, Undertaker tombstones Sting. In the process, Taker blows out both knees. As Sting lays unconscious, Undertaker wallows around in agony screaming profanities as the referee looks to the back on what to do. After about 5 minutes, Sting comes to and slaps the Scorpion Death Lock on, Undertaker immediately taps out while screaming "Steve, I'm hurt, I'm hurt." Sting does not release the hold and the referee reverses the decision. Sting then spends the rest of the event beating up the referee.

Nah.
He got the end to his career he deserved, and wasn't forced out by Vince.
I'd rather he stay in AEW and be a GM.

He seems very happy with AEW. Would love him to sign a deal where he could be in games, but other than that I think he’s gonna stick around AEW in some capacity

I'm sure the guy in charge now has a lot more respect for Sting than Vince did— I don't take wrestling too seriously in my adult life and there's few things that have actually pissed me off, but this dredges up old feelings for sure. Same. Triple H is my 2nd all time favorite, but the wrong man won and it’s one of the few matches that pisses me off. This would probably be my favorite match of all time had Sting gone over.

For sure. I've said it on this forum before, but this is my all-time least favorite wrestling match. It was everything wrong with my absolute least favorite era of WWE's monopoly on wrestling distilled into one atrocious match.

My go to example is Marvel buying DC but making movies where Superman cannot be shown stronger than Thor, and Batman is neutered by Hawkeye.

They would do promos, act as managers and lend their star power to an epic match without needing to take bumps. Sting vs Undertaker in a "Last Ride to Hell" Match. They both do live entrances. They stand face to face in the center of the ring. Once the crowd eats it up a bit, a ring of fire forms around the two legends and they descend into the ring of fire. Then a cinematic match that they spent the last 2 weeks making is played. After the match they rise back up from the ring of fire showing massive battle damage and fatigue. They shake hands and part ways. But wait, it's the Judgement Day! After calling the two legends old and being pricks for a couple minutes, they get jumped by R Truth and the Miz. Sting and the Undertaker join in and everybody from Judgement Day gets the Stinger Splash and a Tombstone. Then they "one more time" Dom Dom for the next 10 minutes over and over and over. The end.
