To the storyline and feud as a whole? No. To the segments that Rock appears in so far? Yes. But as I talked about in a different thread yesterday, the overshadowing is the story that will lead to the Rock and Roman feud down the line (and is more entertaining than what we’d otherwise be getting here).

Probably but that's the correct thing to do if this is going where we all think is going

He has and I get what WWE is doing.
They're making him seem like second fiddle to the Rock until they lose night 1 and the split happens or some other time that Roman finally comes to his senses and gets all angry. It is a bad move, you can't just do this to a guy who might be finally losing the title after 4 years. Yes weaken him and have things collapse around him but he should still be the focal point with Cody. They're banking on the upcoming turn between Rock/Roman and they have shit reversed.

That's what they're doing at the moment, Seth also got his moment to shine on Friday and was great.
They've still got 5 weeks of TV or something to give Cody and Roman more opportunities to get everyone on a par (or as close as you can be next to the freakin Rock)
Also if anyone thinks Rock is only coming across as the biggest star because he's getting 15-30 mins of promo time I don't know what to tell you, the man just oozes charisma.

Speaking of The Rock, he just showed up on the Oscars Red Carpet show lol I hope he just stands there and cuts a 20 minute monologue on Cody and Pharaoh while celebrities meander on by him paying none attention.

Also if anyone thinks Rock is only coming across as the biggest star because he's getting 15-30 mins of promo time I don't know what to tell you, the man just oozes charisma. The only other living wrestler who could walk in and immediately be seen as bigger than the entire wrestling world is Austin. Even if it's just drinking beer in some nothing segment on a Raw reunion show or when Rock would show up and run down a midcarder like Corbin or Jinder and have the crowd reacting like they're witnessing a Mania main event. They just have that level of presence. Even Hogan doesn't have it anymore. He'd be more along the lines of current Flair if he showed up on TV. Although to be fair Rock/Austin are 15-20 years younger than Flair/Hogan. When they're 70+ their charisma levels might take a hit too.

Roman is going to appear on the Pat Mcaffee show, that might help him out a bit

Yes he is. But I think the others in the storyline need to try their best to fix that when they get their chances. I think Seth is doing the best right now. For better or worse, Rock has that Attitude Era mentality that Austin, Triple H, and others had: it's not my job to make you. I'm going to make me and challenge you to climb up here with me. If you can't quite make it, bad day for you.

Seth figured it out pretty quick and looks great out there now, Cody is getting wiser and also looks good, but Roman hasn't. That needs to change, because otherwise The Rock will just eat him up.

I really think the problem is much less Rock taking the focus when they're together and more how both Seth and Cody seem to give no shits at all about Roman and are entirely talking about Rock.

If their goal is to make the Rock look strong, then they are doing a very good job of that. The Rock is doing good business, the stronger he looks, the bigger the rub that Cody gets when he finally beats him. I'd be willing to bet that the Rock takes the pin in the tag match, which causes Night 2 to be "no bloodline" which ends up costing Roman the belt, which sets up for the Rock vs Roman Reigns a story that doesn't really need the belt, does it?
Then, you can have Cody feud with LA Knight, Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens, etc and when Rock and Roman Reigns finally blows, you have Roman Reigns disappear for awhile. Then when you least expect it around Summerslam, Cody Rhodes defends his belt in a Fatal 4 Way... and at the end of the match, Roman Reigns comes out, letting Cody Rhodes know that he never got his rematch and at Summerslam he's coming to take back what's his.
