Hold on… Mercedes Mone is being paid more than Roman? I’m only going by the idea of Roman’s salary being around $5m before royalties and such from previous reports and Mercedes having an “8 figure salary” from reports. If someone has something else, I’m free but that’s always what I’ve always seen. I haven’t followed AEW much lately but I do think Mercedes Mone deserved compensation as she will surely be a huge shot in the arm for AEW, but nobody in wrestling (except for people like the Rock and Cena) should be getting paid more than the Tribal Chief

WWE really should have gone to Roman and told him that, in the build to WRESTLEMANIA, he needs to be on TV more. Him sitting on his ass at home most weeks while Rock shows up almost every week has not helped him either. The sense I get from seeing the feud is discussion is that Roman doesnt even matter, what matters is that he is the one needed to be dethroned. But that the Roman character itself is a non-matter

I mean, for all we know, he could have been pitched the idea, was good with it and carried on being paid the same for what he’s doing. We don’t really know. If I were in his shoes, I’d ask if they were willing to pay me more to do some spots here and there to add interest and if they didn’t, well, still being paid well enough (even though, frankly, Roman’s being paid peanuts and I’d be demanded Mercedes Mone money but that’s also why I’m not Roman) and just doing what’s asked. Hold on… Mercedes Mone is being paid more than Roman?

We've had to endure a painful title reign that should have ended in 2022, I'm ok with it finishing like this.

I can see this being a talking point down the line between Rock and Roman, on how Rock did something Roman couldn't do which was bloody Cody and leave him laying.

We've had to endure a painful title reign that should have ended in 2022, I'm ok with it finishing like this. Honestly the Cody/Rock stuff is better than any Main Event build Roman has had the last decade. When Roman spoke after Rock did on Smackdown, you felt the gap in mic skill and thats a key element whether people like it or not. I see why older fans tuned out after Rock/Austin and having seen Hogan/Flair, a lot of top guys haven't matched up to that level of talk where you can just say anything and have people in the palm of your hand. Roman felt like he was just spewing dialogue, whereas Rock feels like The Rock of 25 years ago tuned up to a higher volume and its way over compared to Roman whose been a product of a scripted and sanitized era where you aren't given a chance to work your way through the ranks and learn to how to control the crowd with your promos the way The Rock and even Dusty Rhodes did. Honestly a feud with Rock/Roman is hard to book because the promos would be one-sided alone. It's almost like inserting Jack Nicholson's Joker into Suicide Squad, his characterization would blow everything around him away to the point of making them less. Roman is the sort of wrestler that needs a manager to talk the big talk while he stands there looking tough and saying a few lines to get his point across, which the Bloodline doesn't fit anything about The Rock. He's being Billy Gunn'd right now. All we need is Roman shoved into Cody's Mom's ass at the Pay-Per-View

So could be something like 3/10.

Nah. Cody even being in the rock's crosshairs is because he's the biggest threat to the Tribal Chief and the family's generational dominance. All roads lead to Roman

As it stands, Roman is still doing what he has been doing forever and that’s letting other members of his family do his dirty work for him. I mean, until Rock comes for his title at the moment he’s zero threat to him as the Rock is the one beating the crap out of Cody.

I don’t think so, I think Roman is absolutely fine.

I don’t think so, I think Roman is absolutely fine. I want Roman to be put over strong on the go home Smackdown, by also giving Cody a bloody beatdown. Then Night 1, Rock and Roman both compare who injured Cody more and laugh and joke about it. And then hopefully by doing that, both are equal again. They need to be more booked like The Two Man Power Trip of 2001, where Austin and HHH were seen as evil equals.

There is absolutely no way AEW are paying Mercedes Mone $10m+ per year. Unless they've gone full Leeds United circa 2002.
It's not impossible she could be paid more than Roman I guess, but come on now.
