I mean, we're all posting on an online message board formally called "Wrestlecrap", regarding a hobby where grown men fake fight in their underwear that most people stop watching as they get older and has a negative social stigma related to it. I don't know who on here thinks they have the moral highground to laugh at anyone else on here for sharing their thoughts about a product we all enjoy. I would implore anyone who feels the need to laugh at others when they are talking about something they enjoy to reevaluate the situation at and determine the moral relativism of the situation. Eh, I guess you got a point 🤷‍♂️. I’m just loling at the visual of the Rock getting booed out of mania and the backlash it would cause, but it would get people talking My bad, I thought you were trying to hurt my feelings. It was upsetting. 🤕 Glad to hear you are enjoying yourself.

I was there live for this episode, and god, this beat down ruled. Best part (which was censored for TV) was Rock getting in his one PG-13 allowed f bomb in when he screamed at Cody toward the end that this is what happens when he f***s with the Final Boss. The entire arena reacted at the edge, the sheer edge. Just for the record, he did not get that in, half of what he said was muted on TV lmfao

It doesn't need to be a weekly thing, of course, but can you imagine some of the most iconic moments in wrestling history (like Austin in the Sharpshooter at WM 13) without it? If hell in a cell ever goes back to being a feud ender and not an obligatory ppv event then that's where blood should be too. Hell in a Cell without blood has felt like the most wrong thing in wrestling for awhile to me It's like doing a Deathmatch and no blood happens... Street Fights and such, Hardcore matches with no blood? Sure... some matches should really highlight the severity of a situation, unless it's accidental hardway in which case, oh well

hm, PWinsider noted this: WWE uploaded The Rock's end of Raw attack on Cody Rhodes to YouTube and censored the segment, but interestingly it was not the blood.
No, instead WWE went to a freeze-frame on shots where Rhodes was struck in the head with a trash can, as you can watch below:

It’s weird: even when Rock was being such a bastard, the crowd couldn’t help but be tempted to cheer during the segment. I think the crowd went home happy less for kayfabe reasons than for the sheer “holy crap” spectacle of just how over the top The Rock’s behavior was and how Attitude Era-esque the ending was. It was just so distinctly much that I think a lot of us realized we had just witnessed some really compelling storytelling.

Amazing segment. Cody made Rock look like the real deal and he also looked like a major babyface. Loved it.

I love occasional blood in wrestling It doesn't need to be a weekly thing, of course, but can you imagine some of the most iconic moments in wrestling history (like Austin in the Sharpshooter at WM 13) without it? While I agree blood can be historically and currently an incredible visual, I also think the industry-wide ban on it in 2009 was absolutely the right call. There was such an outbreak of bloodborne diseases, many of which (including hep C) weren't cured until 2012 (and even that cure wasn't available widely until 2014 or so), and so for health reasons I don't fault them for those initial several years of no blood. Further, I think there was such a blood fatigue prior to that point, the shock was no longer "oh my god he's bleeding" but "oh my god look how deep he bladed." Going so long without blood really made the visual return to the deeply resonating shock that it can be. So yes, I agree that occasional blood in wrestling in this healthy regulated era with more tests, treatments and cures than ever before is a good thing.

I’m not sure how it’s gonna work out, but I’m pretty sure Roman being outshined is the point. Roman goes babyface and is the one to beat heel Rock next year. WWE is having their cake and eating it too. Again, we’ll see how it works out, but I don’t think this is just Rock big leaguing everybody. I agree, Rock doesn't just big league everybody, it's not his style, as evidenced by the pivoting back to Cody when there was such a backlash. I think this will all form part of Roman's turn, especially if Rock is the one who either gets the pin or gets pinned at Mania

The icing on the cake would have been The Dwayne pile driving Cody on the roof of an Oldsmobile. But I digress.
The rain was a nice touch. Kudos to whoever booked the rain.

Kudos to whoever booked the rain. it was like prince during the Super Bowl except this one had the crowd shocked in horror at the rock while the other was shocked in horror at rex grossman

That was awesome but also...shouldn't Roman be the one doing this to Cody? Roman Reigns feels like the side chick to his own f***ing years long built feud lmfao It's both sad and hilarious how much Rock has taken this over, the very thing everyone was afraid of when he got a TKO seat and while the quality has been good, he has completely hip checked Roman out of the feuds spotlight... If Roman at this point means so little to some of you, then why are you still interested in watching his upcoming Wrestlemania matches? Because it sounds like you don’t want to stream the show.

I think it's fair to think Roman has been shafted in this storyline while also enjoying the stuff Rock is currently doing in his heel run, it doesn't have to be one way or the other like you're trying to make it out to be. Rock's building a good program with Cody and at the same time the story Cody is supposed to be finishing feels like it's on the backburner for a guy literally labeling himself "THE FINAL BOSS" of it all now, sorry it just comes off blatantly to me that Rock wanted to be the center of attention and still found a way to do it. Again, heel Rock's been fun, but the record breaking champion feels secondary, and they have two weeks to not make him feel that way.

Really that segment just didn't do anything for me at all to be honest, between 1), there not really being any way to pay it off because Rock's not even in the night two match and if they do Rock / Cody later Rock is almost definitely winning to get the title pointlessly involved in the Roman match because WWE loves doing that, 2), Cody not selling it very well, 3), Rock seemingly only having like a single line's worth of improv coming to mind for it with just how much he was repeating himself ("Look at you now, look at you now, look at you now, look at you now, look at you now, look at you now, look at you now, look at you now, look at you now, look at you now"), and 4), it just going on for a damn eternity. Conceptually it was neat but in practice I thought it was kind of a drawn out chore.
Though I will give it that the money shot of Rock wiping up Cody's blood was pretty awesome and that's all they really needed for the video package anyway so it did what it was supposed to.
