Doesn't need to be a regular thing, but something to make an important moment feel even more important.

If it's done rarely like 1-2 times a year and it's safe I'm cool with it. It has to mean a lot for the storyline like this Bloodline one.
Funny, just realized that Cody is bleeding during a "bloodline" storyline.

Same as any major wrestling spot--use it sparringly so it means more.
People blading every week, it loses its impact. People blading only in the big feuds--adds to the storyline.

This is really the answer, which is crazy, cause as a young kid it was like “Blood! TLC! Gimme an 8-Man Hell in a Cell! FIRE!” But as you get older you realize you’ve got to keep things sensible and every now and then introduce an element like this to shake shit up again.

I'm not really a fan of the ol' crimson mask. I think blood can be used but it should be very very rare.

It was very cool last night but also f***ing hilarious how you had so many of the same people be like “BLOOD IS BACK HELL YEAH” outside of here when they’d been acting like it traumatizes people elsewhere.
Different scenarios and usage but still very funny.

To me it makes no sense to have guys fake fight…but really bleed. The risk isn’t worth the image of a guy bleeding…when most people are going to forget about it like two days later. 🤷🏻♂️

It's made such an impact with Cody this week precisely because it's done so infrequently

I’m not saying every match should be like Mox bleeding, but blood feuds should have blood.

Blood works when it's done sparingly. That's why it worked last night. I'm sure if it was up to Cody he'd be bleeding every week, but you have to make it mean something.

In this day and age surely they must have fake blood packs/capsules that look super realistic?
We're fans so we're used to it but when you take a step back and really think it's kinda wild that we accept as normal the fact that wrestlers will intentionally mutilate their forehead for a performance. No other artform that features blood really does this. If Daniel Day-Lewis tried to insist on bleeding for real to make a scene feel realistic the health and safety people would probably have a fit.

I voted the top option. However, I do agree with the above poster that since we all know it's a work now... it is kind of ridiculous when you think about it. However, if guys can get you so invested that you can suspend your disbelief, I still think it's good to use on rare occasions.

Can they test blood before matches? How long does that take?

The rare option. However from the perspective of minimising the risk of bloodborne diseases. Plus helping ensure we don't see scarred foreheads in HD.
Im not so fussed from a creative standpoint.

for me personally blood doesn’t add anything, we have known for decades that wrestlers blade. So whenever a wrestler does bleed, its obvious it was intentional and not done the “hard way” ( even when a wrestler bleeds the hard way )

I often wonder why non-wrestling fans often think wrestling fans are stupid, and then I see wrestling fans wanting wrestlers to cut themselves to produce actual blood to make the fake sport look more real. We talk about Katie Vick and the Gobbeldy Gooker being embarrasing, but this is the cringiest thing in wrestling.
In real sports, bleeding participants tend to get taken out to clear up asap. For a reason.
