And Mercedes popped a higher number on her debut. So technically she's been their biggest draw. If you rating it on one quarter hour

Once basketball is done we can truly see where they stand. Wednesday is just a tough night with a lot of sports going on right now. Does TBS still own the rights to the Braves? Because that's going to mess up their schedules too.

I’m already looking forward to the start of June where, again, WBD will put out a statement saying the demo’s been good and it’s been helping them along with the NBA and NHL and we’ll still be having these weird conversations or wondering what they should or shouldn’t be doing. And I’m not saying we shouldn’t be having the conversations and debates, it’s just funny that it’ll keep happening and some will still be acting like it’s not important. Like, TNT will get big ratings from Inside the NBA later this month and, unless Golden State make it into the Play-In, Draymond Green will likely help with the coverage. They ain’t a channel to shy or not take advantage of controversy. I've seen people suggest, without a hint of irony, that WBD is using kayfabe numbers to make AEW look better. Tiny Con's duplicity truly knows no bounds.

I mean, if I were them and that was something that’d actually happen, I’d fudge the numbers for NBA games so then I wouldn’t have to pay more for NBA games for 5 years. Not, like, make the numbers for AEW seem better so we’re paying more at the next negotiation.

It is worth noting that 4th place (SportsCenter) had a demo of .21. AEW at its worst is still getting a demo of .23 or higher. It is crazy the amount of doom posting AEW gets when their current floor is still top 5.

Might as well put this here as the other thread is locked (certainly for the best). They were right to release the footage to counter the tall tales Punk told in the podcast. They were wrong to do it on Dynamite as it made them look a wee bit carny, should have just put it on social media. Comparisons to the fingerpoke of doom are hyperbolic. This will neither lose nor gain fans for AEW and will be quickly forgotten. IIRC, ratings actually did better after the Fingerpoke for a bit. As stupid a creative decision as it was, its importance to WCW's ultimate demise is grossly overstated. They f***ed up the follow up and by the spring, everyone realized goldberg wasn't gonna get another one on one match with hogan or the title.

Then Family Guy. Is nothing else supposed to be on?

Tiny Con's duplicity truly knows no bounds. I assume they mean the press releases where they tout that 4 million people watch AEW programming each week. That’s likely based on how many “unique viewers” watch each show. The viewership we see from Nielsen is the average viewership over the course of the show. But if a show has 1 million average viewership but the average person is watching 50% of the show, that means 2 million different people watched that show. I assume that’s what they’re basing the numbers in the press release on (plus adding in the 7-day DVR numbers).

It's almost like those shows are popular and will compete with AEW when they're in the same timeslot on those nights, which they are When a show is number one in demo like Vaderpump was, why is it weird to say hey maybe they cut into AEW's bottom line a little? That's an entire chunk of key demo that was never going to that show suddenly making it number one yet we still get these types of comments that act like it did nothing and that's really weird to me. No doubt Basketball does, MNF does it to RAW all the time.

All TV companies are going to want to make any show they have sound like they are doing great, regardless of how they get to the final figure. They and Tony will discuss 'real' numbers during negotiation, but outwardly, you want sponsors and advertisers to see and accept the largest number possible.
