I know what you're all about, mister God-in-the-Machine!
You hate Colin because he's Irish!
And hot!
Yeah, that's it! That's GOT to be it!
;D
Answer me this then, smart guy, ol Ebert JR: Say that you're given a choice between watching Farrel in DAREDEVIL or Cage in GHOST RIDER.
What movie do you watch? And don't say neither! You have to pick one!

Adaptation was a phenomenal performance. Farrell is just the same bland, overactor in every movie. I'm sure he can act, he just doesn't because he's a hot moviestar that doesn't have to.

I dunno. From what I've seen of it, GHOST RIDER looks to be an even WORSE waste of time than the FANTASTIC FOUR movie was, and it looks a HELLUVA lot worse than DAREDEVIL.
Farrel as Bullseye is a closer, and better casting job than Jessica Alba as Sue Storm.....or Nic Cage as Johnny Blaze.
By the by, you ever read Cage's WIZARD interview? In it, he talks about what his proposed take on SUPERMAN would've been.
Let's just say, what we got in Brandon Routh was a GODSEND compared to what Cage would've done to the Superman character. Think giant "Elvis hair" and a spaced out demeanor.

They did some really stupid things in that movie (Ben Grimm is cool with being The Thing? That just ruins the entire character) but it was better than I expected and far better than DareDevil. And Cage could never be Superman.

I didn't like "Daredevil" (I saw it in theatre, hadn't seen the director's cut). The story was "meh", the music was good (yes, I like Evanescence... in the scene where "Bring Me to Life" was played I actually got goosebumps... I hadn't heard that song before), but the thing that really bugged me was the fight scenes. Every fight was a "Matrix"-esque, bullet-time special effects clusterhump.
If they did the fights like a good Jackie Chan movie (with no wirework), then I would have liked it more.

And Cage could never be Superman. I'll give you Chiklis, and even, since I feel generous, Chris Evans (Although his Torch was a bit too much of a prick for my liking). But every other role, excepting Stan Lee's cameo, was ATROCIOUSLY miscast. DAREDEVIL at least got most of it's cast right, not just two fifths of it. Of course, EVERYONE hates the Tom Jane PUNISHER movie, and I liked it (Although, again, they lose points for tinkering with the goddamned origin), so I know my tastes range in difference from that of the average fan...... And we agree that a Cage Superman would have been an ABOMINATION.

I turned it off when he "heard" the bullett coming... A blind superhero beating up TWO normal-sighted guys??? Gimme a break! Apparently you missed the entire concept. Then could you please enlighten me?
