Time for a brand-spankin' new Doug thread! Continuing from the previous thread, I also advise you to read the rules and the F.A.Q. before asking your question. And remember, serious Q & A only. Take the chit chat elsewhere. Thank you.

Why do all the new posts in this thread disappear? It's good to see what questions people are asking so that we may learn from them. I was the moderator who deleted some of the post in this thread. Not all of them (I never deleted your post mprox), but alot of the nonsense post, and questions that had nothing to do with the forum and were put here as a joke was what I deleted. Oh and Disco, I also deleted your post, because the problem was taken care of and it wasn't a question that people could look back for reference (I think it was a troll or flaming?) Nothing against any of you. I just wanted to keep the new Ask a Mod thread cleaned up. --- Mprox: We're talking amongst each other about your sig now. I haven't encountered anyone else asking if animals doing something sexual were okay. One of us will let you know as soon as possible.

Oh, he'll be back. But damn, he went too far with that N-word thread.
This leads me to my next question; are there mods around the clock to prevent this kinda stuff, or are there down times in which guys may get away with junk?

Its a lucky thing that I'm skipping sleep tonight (cleaning out apartment/busy day). As for the question, its there is no "set" time to log-in. Usually the Europeans are on by now.

I caught someone screwtaping in the WrestleCrap forum... ...the Isaac Yankem, Book Chapters and "For those who haven't seen it" threads got bumped.

Warriortwit... taken care of.
As to the "screwtaping"... OK here's the deal:
It's OK to bump old threads. We'd PREFER you bump old threads rather than make 90 million new ones about the same thing. (See the extra SABU GOT FIRED! threads in Current) How old is too old is subjective. If someone comes on the board, finds an old thread and has something to add, that's really not the worst thing in the world.
'Screwtaping' isn't that. That was more comedically centered.
And making a post to bump a thread and then deleting your post is verboten. The mods WILL be able to tell who did it and probably will bring the hammer down on you.

Just a question, when our friend the troll pops up, if we choose to respond in anyway.....do the ban or warning rules apply for things we may say to them???
I was holding back and posted random gifs instead, just in case. Normally I ignore them. But when your taking up the whole damn page, its at least a chance for a post count increase.

I was curious about this, and this is about warriorthug. When the original warriorthug4cena came in, did you guys find out his IP? And if so, does the random poster who keeps putting over Cena with nonsense and what not, is it the same person with the same IP or whatever, is it someone different at times, or do you suspect it's the same person because he's putting out the same nonsense. I hope that made sense, lol. I also love Liverpool by the way, I might even be living there. Far as I know, he's using a proxy. It may not be him everytime, but I'd say 99% of those are him. Now the pathetic guy who is making accounts to just make slurs and make an ass of himself, I have a sneaking suspicion on who it is. And if it's him, it just proves how immature he is.

ive seen this pop up a few times i know its self filtering and understand it, but i'm asking any of the mod squad, why are people using the word smurf instead of other words? or was it a new change of the filter?
it confuses me (i know like shooting fish in a barrel with a blonde.) just wondering if this is going to be the new board trend.

That video is just horrible to watch. I'm going to remove it, since it has been before. Why is it the smiley options only pop up when I'm quoting someone, and not when I'm adding my own new thought? It's not happening for me, so I'm not sure how to help you with that. What you can do, if that's the case, you can quote somebody, and delete the quote then add your smilies. Or you can just type out the smilies. :) = Happy face ;) = winking :D = Cheesy face ;D = Big Grin >:( = Angry face :( = Sad Face :o = Shocked face 8-) = Cool face ??? = Huh? Face ::) = Rolling eyes :P = Kidding around face :-[ = Embarassed :-X = Lips sealed or vomit :-/ = Unsure face :-* = Kissy face :'( = Crying

Why is it the smiley options only pop up when I'm quoting someone, and not when I'm adding my own new thought? Probably 'cos you use quick reply. If you use the "reply" button instead, the smiley's will pop up. I'm not a mod, but it's something I've noticed. Hope it helps.

How come the ROH dvd sale thread does not get regarded as spam? Because every day there would be a new thread on the subject "I want to buy some RoH DVDs, which ones are good?" so the whole subject was consolidated into one thread. If Gabe Sapolsky made the thread, it'd be spam. But he didn't, so there it is.

How come the ROH dvd sale thread does not get regarded as spam? Psy pretty much covered it. When I joined here there were 4-5 daily posts regarding ROH DVDs, so I decided to give that thread a try and it has worked out well. And now with this PPV debuting on July 1st, odds are there will be an increase in interest in the product, thus more people wanting to get in to it with the DVDs. Not exactly sure how it would be categorized as spam anyway, rarely is there any off topic conversation in it. Should the mods decide to stop stickying it some time it's their call, but I think it's serving its purpose well anyway.

Is there any way to make it so that my birthday isn't shown whenever the date rolls around? Just seems kind of silly that my EWT profile also shows up on my birthday. No. When you sign up for any Proboard community it asks for your birthday and that's a permanent thing during your membership for that community. You could make your age hidden, but on the main page your birthday will be shown.
