Eventually, the memory of him will fade away like a McDonald's coupon in the rain...

Eventually, the memory of him will fade away like a McDonald's coupon in the rain... Not if his name is contained in the forum description. That way, he's always part of the forum, in a way.

I suspect it'll eventually fade away, and even if it doesn't, I legitmately never read any of the descriptions of the forums till you mentioned it, and I have a hand in the running of the joint.

Any chance that Disco Stu's thread on Wrestlecraps Fads/Legends can be stickied somewhere? The references, info would be invaluable to new crappers who have just joined as well as being a great documentation of what has occured on the site. It's too good a thread to let it slip away into obscurity. I'll move it to archived threads. Is that good enough? Thanks Rush, how's the T-shirt collection?

Hate to seem like a postw***e or a smart-arse by quoting myself, but this was never addressed: Mods, seeing as the description of this section of the forum mentions Mercadivas & the fact they are no longer with us, have you considered the fact that every frickin' newbie is going to be asking what a Mercadiva is, so eventually it'll have to go into the FAQs, and Merc will be burned into Wrestlecrap's legacy forever? Wouldn't it be for the best to just forget his existence entirely? No idea what you're talking about. Nope. Never happened.

Quick question: Why is it tolerated that usually, people with less than 100 post counts who make a thread are TOTALLY crapped on? I think it's pretty annoying. Honestly, sometimes the newer posters post a topic of which is already in discussion or they ask a "really-out-there" question or just posts their thoughts which most the time are negative. Sometimes though, I've seen it just happen because the person doesn't spell well in their original post and it degenerates from there. Not trying to override anyone's authority, just giving an answer from what I've seen. Not going to fingerpoint at anyone cause I'm guilty in the past of it as well. I'm just answering as bluntly and honestly as I can.

i just have a question and I guarantee its been asked before but I havent found it elsewhere...
my question is why this board continuously lets over zealous mature sexual content run rampant like a twelve year old pubescent boy but frowns upon vulgar language? Id much rather have someone young hear irritant slang then rants of sexual deviants....maybe I just dont understand the double negative of this board but the personal sexual drive has really gone crazy over the last couple of months or people just realize what the mods will and wont censor...

Honestly, I'm not sure. I have made it clear several times in threads that the sex stuff is getting out of hand. I'm 100% agreeing with you that one shouldn't be looked over for the other.

I just said 'god dammit' in another thread. Is that allowed? It wasn`t in any religious content or that.

I'd probably just use dammit next time.

I've been meaning to ask - and may have before and just don't remember - but why is it not okay to use certain language on the boards, but there are YouTube clips floating around that use some of the same language that we are not allowed to? I mean, I don't care either way if you want to swear - Lord knows I have quite the filthy mouth myself - but doesn't it seem odd that one minute it's "filter filter filter," and the next, you're clicking on a YouTube link where a word or two slips by and nobody blinks? Is it because of isolated incidents, i.e., one character said "the b-word" one time, and that was the only obscenity in the whole clip? Oh, and don't get me started on the comments. I dunno; it's not really a complaint as much as it is an honest query. If we can't link to sites with "questionable/objectionable" content, why are we allowed to link to YouTube, where 90% of the comments have the type of language that would make a drunken sailor blush?

Long story short: We're not obligated to patrol the entire internet, so so-long as it isn't just an f-bomb tirade or porn or something, it's their problem, not ours. I'm more concerned about keeping this board somewhere near the TOS that Proboards has.

to a degree, it has been for a while now. But that doesn't mean it's a free-for-all to post links that get excessive. And yes, I realize "excessive" is completely subjective.

Hey....what's up with that Bird-Flu thing on the front page of the Forums? Or is that a private joke amongst the Mods?
Just noticed that today, and was curious. Did one of the Mods have a scare with the Bird Flu?

Did one of the Mods have a scare with the Bird Flu? It was to replace the thing written there about a certain banned poster after I pointed something out a page or so back.

I forgot to ask earlier in regards to the language thing - and again, this is merely an observation and not a complaint - why is the C-bomb filtered but "twat" isn't? Aren't they both essentially the same thing: a highly offensive term for female genitalia?
I know you hate questions like that, but again, I'm genuinely curious.

I really don't think twat is nearly as offensive as c***. C*** is pretty much universally considered the dirtiest of dirty words.

Same essential meaning, but on different levels of offensiveness. One is pretty much "eh" and can even be used to describe an idiot, while the other can and will get your ass kicked by every female ever.

True, although the impression I get is that it's relatively akin to "a**hole" in certain parts of the world. Of course, I'm probably very wrong, but it's not like that's never happened before! Anyway, thanks for the heads-up.
