the uncensored anchorman commentary is funny in some parts like when they brought in lou rawls. but it kinda annoyed me because they didn't talk about the film that much.
one of my favorite commentaries though was for a release of the mystery of chess boxing. The company who released the movie on dvd hired some martial arts movie experts to do commentary on the movie and it was very interesting to hear about how the movie was made.
another good one is the jersey girl commentary with smith and mewes. somewhere down the line in the commentary they just talk about what if the movie ended up being a horror movie. WAAAAY better then the other commentary on the disc with affleck which was just affleck and smith talking about his relationship with j.lo and how that hurt the movie.

The Animated Clerks commentary was great. Esepcailly when Kevin Smith is talking about the Korean animation director Mr. Han.

Another one of my favorites is pretty obscure. Kenneth Johnson does commentary on the 2 hour Incredible Hulk pilot episode and it's amazing how much the guy remembers. It's also a nice tribute to Bill Bixby. He also does a commentary on the "Married" episode that is equally good. They're available on the Season 1 set, but there's also a single DVD that just has those 2 episodes. I wish he had done more for some of the other episodes.

They called him during one, just to get his voice on tape. He was cooking a steak. They just told him how great he was and everythig. Bahaha...thats awesome. Anyway, I'm glad that Swartzwelder was involved with the movie. I'm still trying to figure out why the current SIMPSONS writing staff wants nothing to do with him (maybe its jealousy). Haha oh yea i member when they called. But wasn't that someone else tho?

You just reminded me of a great commentary. It was the Smallville episode "Red". It's the commentary with Michael Rosenbaum, Tom Welling, Kristin Kruek and Greg Beeman. They weren't taking it seriously at all, it was just a fun commentary. Near the end of the episode the villain gets shot by someone in the witness protection program and Welling asks "Wait, who's that?". I think it was Beeman (I'm positive there was someone else in the commentary) responds with "That's Sarah's dad. You met him earlier in the episode.". After that Rosenbaum asks "Is that the guy that played the Incredible Hulk?". Everyone cracks up at that, they ask if he means Bill Bixby, Rosenbaum says yes, and everyone starts laughing again. I can't do it justice because it goes on for slightly longer. Rosenbaum at one point says "Bill Bixby kicks ass". I've also got to nominate the commentary for A Nightmare on Elm Street with Wes Craven, Heather Langenkamp, and John Saxon. There are others in the commentary but those are the only 3 I can think of right now. You can tell they all wanted to do the commentary, were watching the movie and were having fun. When Nancy is setting up all the traps for Freddy, this exchange occurs Wes Craven: "I was worried that some kid would see this and copy it". Heather Langenkamp: "No, you just have kids dressing up as Freddy and stabbing each other."

Rather than re-list some favorites that have already been mentioned, I'll just add some favorites:
Masters of Horror: Jenifer - Commentary by Steven Weber (writer and star).
Batman: The Movie (1966) - Commentary by Adam West and Burt Ward.
Saturday Night Live: The Best of Saturday TV Funhouse - Commentary by Robert Smigel, Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Mr. T, James Carville, Al Franken, Bryant Gumbel, JJ Sedelmaier, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, etc. etc. A lot of funny people getting in and out of the booth, tellin' lots of jokes and stuff. Really good.

A few of mine that weren't mentioned.
Hellboy- Gulliermo(SP?) and Mignola seem to truly like each other and have fun.
Finding Nemo - Fun and informative just what you want from a commentary.
Lord of the Rings trilogy - Aside from the cast commentaries which are just to jumbled to follow i enjoyed them all.
