I guess it may not be a big deal to some, but I'm so upset and angry right now I just feel it needs to be posted.
My friend and I were walking to Taco Bell when a little dog came from our side of the road and started walking out into the street...and there was pretty heavy traffic so we tried calling it back over to the sidewalk and it didn't hear us, or pay attention I guess...and the car just hit it..ran over it entirely.
When I noticed it wasn't stopping or pulling over or ANYTHING, I started chasing them down to see if I could get their license plate number, and I also happened to be screaming at the top of my lungs that they just hit someones' dog, and they need to go back there. The guy starts to pull in to a driveway, so I figured maybe he just didn't notice that he hit the dog, and he was gonna turn around and go talk to him...and I was so distraught I couldn't stop screaming "YOU HIT THEIR f***ING DOG. GO BACK THERE."
So he turns to go back that way...and just DRIVES OFF IN ANOTHER DIRECTION. The little kids who the dog belonged to were crying in their yard, as they'd brought it back over there at that point...and he just drove off.
We stayed with the kids until they could get a hold of their dad...I apologised to them a million times that I couldn't make out the license number...and I just burst into tears. I feel so bad for them, I feel bad for the dog, who had to die for no reason whatsoever.
Everyone, do yourselves a favour and keep a close watch on your pets so this doesn't happen to them. Innocent animals don't need to die like this for no reason, especially by sick motherf***ers who don't give a damn.
RIP, little dog.
And whoever you are...you'll get what's coming to you eventually.

Damn. Hate it when people don't give a f*** 'bout killing animals like that.
I mean, if it's heavy traffic, then I understand how it's hard to stop, but to not show remorse? Damn.

Damn. Hate it when people don't give a smurf 'bout killing animals like that. I mean, if it's heavy traffic, then I understand how it's hard to stop, but to not show remorse? Damn. It wasn't even like, that heavy. I mean, it was TRAFFIC, but only like 4 or 5 cars coming maybe. He could've stopped. And there was no one coming the other direction, he could've gotten on the other side of the street for a moment. Something. Anything.

They'll stop for a deer that bolts out in front of their car, but anything that won't do damage to it they'll just drive on through...it...yeah it sickens me.

Can I just ask, was this like at night or in daylight? Twilight. It wasn't BRIGHT bright, but the dog was white, and it was still bright enough to see clearly outside.

I saw a kitten get run over once by a van in front of our car and he just drove off. Although the kitten was really tiny, and it ran into the road at the last second so he probably didn't see it. Anyway, it was horrible cause it was like stuck to the road and twitching. We couldn't help it though cause it was too late and it died I felt sick afterwards, it was horrible

Yeah I don't know were you live but I live in South Carolina and we have a bunch of dumb rednecks here while I was in High School talked about Running Over Dogs/Cats shooting peoples pets etc. I am not a Animal Activist but these story's pissed me off one day after hearing the bs by the two people in front of me for the whole semester the last week of school they were talking about shooting a cat I said " If you shot my cat Id kill your ass!" he said something about " I don't think you would. " I stood up and he stood up and I punched him in the face the only, only time I have ever got into a physical altercation in my life. As bad as he tired to seem (Redneck guys like this try to Intimidate and cant really back it up) he started crying no joke. I got in trouble but it was well worth it. Anything like what happen with you pisses me off beyond belief.

Thanks, the sentiment is appreciated...but I don't need to be thanked.
I just wish that didn't happen.

I remember crashing at my sisters place, and was out on the patio having a drink at night when this cat got hit by a fast Honda going about 80mph. I swear the cat shot out of the back of the car into the air and landed about 50 feet away. Amazingly the cat just got up and ran off, and ever since I seen it out there once in awhiles so even more amazing its alive and well without a scratch or broken bone.
