What I'm wondering, is after remakes, what happens next? Remakes of remakes? Well if they remake The Thing like they have been talking about that will come true. I'm sure it's happened before though, I just can't remember any right now.

Well, if anything Friday the 13th is the one horror franchise that needs a remake. I don't a lot of these remakes because most the series they're going back to have been so convoluted and messed up that a complete rehaul is in order. EDIT: Is this talk of a Friday part one remake. No Jason in the original. Exactly. We get his mother in this one lol I heard they were going to do a prequel to part two explaining how he came to be and then start off from there on. So there would be Jason, just no hockey mask.

I thought this was about the 10 Commandments remake i heard was happening. It was on G4, it's CGI and I think it was Christian Slater as the voice for Moses. As far as this goes, how much worse can it get, we already had Jason X. You've got to be kidding me. That's terrible. I've said it in another thread but we need a reamke of the 1917 silent film Intolerence with 4 new stories of intolerence throughout the ages: circa 400 AD: Events leading to the fall of the roman empire 1500's: Spanish Inquisition 1800's: Slavery in America Modern era: Present day Hollywood Hollywood wouldn't have the guts to look at itself in the mirror though.

Friday the 13th is the epitome of a cheeseball movie. The only problem I see with it is if they decided to make everything 100% super serious.
There have been a lot of remakes, though. Just an insane amount coming out. Some I didn't even know about. I didn't know the Invasion one was a remake.

so far the only really good remake was the texas chainsaw massacre from 2003, that movie was really good and they pulled it off perfectly. (keep in mind this is coming from a guy who respects the original more than life itself)

(keep in mind this is coming from a guy who respects the original more than life itself) I agree, and I actually thought it was better than the original. Keep in mind I've seen the original more than you need to know and thought it was the scariest/greatest thing I had every seen for a good two-to-three years as a kid.

People act like remakes are something that's new in the past 20 years. Fact is it's been around for thousands of years. Legends and stories are always being revised and updated. Yes, but when the market consists of 40% of nothing BUT remakes or TV spinoffs, it gets a little annoying.

So many movies are hidden remakes to. They don't admit to being re-makes... but they are... wether they like it or not.
Disturbia for instance. It's almost the exact some plot as Rear Window.
