THE most annoying thing in comics:
DELAYS!!!!!!!!
You get a new issue of New Avengers when they feel like
putting it out.

The prices have always gotten me. That and the whole miss one issue and your lost thing. My dad still tells me about when he was a kid and every week he would get 1.00 to take to town to buy whatever he wanted and he would get like 10 comics for 1.00. Damn I wish he still had some of them. He said grandma threw them away when he went int othe navy

The thing that annoys me most about comics is that a lot of them you need to know up to 70 years of character history to understand everything, or indeed anything, that's going on.

I think the cheapest price that's on a comic in my collection is an INCREDIBLE HULK that originally cost a wopping 50 cents.
Dunno what a single issue goes for these days, but damn that seems dirt cheap.
Then again, it doesn't have a lenticular cover, foil variant, or ashcan comic con variant cover done in the original artist's blood. Just plain old yellow paper.

So does the Phoenix take her form or does it look different now? To be honest I haven't really kept up on Jean Grey's history (Never been too interested in her) I think the phoenix force is kept inside the Stepford Cuckoos diamond hearts or something at the moment. (It's all rather complicated, I suggest Wikipedia for a full background) then you got her clone who is Cables real mother and didn't Jean also raise Cable up for a while in the future and also cloned him too? I remember in the 90's cartoon Cyclops was so whiney and annoying one of the reasons I love deadpool is he'll show his friustration at the plots n stuff, i mean he once punched Taskmaster just to save expository dialogue

That's the thing that hurts them the most... limits their readership, IMHO... and although it draws newbs into reading back issues to get up to speed on the background, that has no direct benefit to the companies, really.

Jean Grey has been cloned so many times, isn't the Goblyn Queen her clone or something? all far too confusing. Taskmaster is awesome, as is ol'Deadpool.

-Rob Liefeld. seriously that guy can't catch a break can he? -DC's continous milking of the Crisis story. Infinite Crisis came out like 2 years ago and they're already gearing up for another one. seriously DC if GRANT FREAKING MORRISON can't get me interested in it, there's a problem. -the destruction of the secret identity. f*** You Marvel.

The thing I hate most about comics is lack of Deadpool.
Everywhere you see Wolverine... you should see Deadpool instead... after Deadpool stabs him in the face.

Seconded on the Marvel thing. CIVIL WAR was the biggest crock I have ever heard of. I get that they want to have comics mirror the real world more....but dammit, aren't comics supposed to be an ESCAPE from the "real world" ?

The bastardization of X-Force following issue 105 I believe. I collected and still have every issue up to there and then to see it get changed to some garbage called x-static.........DIESELTRAIN SMASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! X-Force > X-Men The cancellation of Mutant X. I collected them all except for one which I just found and bought on ebay. That says something when a series originally supposed to stop at 12 issues kept going till 35 issues I believe because of popular demand. I probably woulda stopped due to inflation of prices if I hadnt already years earlier. I think I saw that the price went up to $3 for one issue now.

Civil War.
when 2 well respected heroes are degrated to do such things they did in that series, it makes me want to look for something else to read.

the poor artwork most fans think is so great stories that are too convoluted seeing heroes like Batman swearing dark and gritty characters "realistic" costumes women drawn like pornstars (proving something about the artists)
