Yay.....I regard it as his last best film. I enjoyed it but Lady in the Water just plain sucked. Has anyone heard of the alternate ending of this film? Wont spoil how it went (look it up) but it makes me wonder if M. Night is a closet racist.........

In fairness, I love Unbreakable a lot. I love this movie as well. I think it's better than The 6th Sense.

I didn't really like Sixth Sense, so yeah Unbreakable is by far my favorite of his.

I liked it. I think people expect him to top himself with each film and i find that to be a ridiculous expectation. The fact that everyone went to see it knowing there was going to be a twist got their expectations up to high.

I really liked it. I saw the European premiere with an interview afterwards with Night.
For reasons I've yet to understand, I took ecstasy for the first time before I left for the cinema. That's probably the reason I enjoyed it so much.
I've yet to see it again, for fear of spoiling the memories...!

I didn't like the twist: after making three good films, M. Night decided to make a bad one.

i think people look too much for an OMG twist with his movies.
As a good movie with a decent straightforward story with good acting I found it great.

I really enjoyed it. Bryce Dallas Howard and Joaquin Phoenix were both excellent as was Adrian Brody. Then I've liked all of Shyamalan's movies except Lady in the Water, but that's only because I've not seen it yet.

As far as the twist goes, it actually fit rather well. The movie was just a little too slow for my taste without enough drama to hold up that slow pace. Besides, why does everyone expect a damned twiist? What was really the twist to Signs? I thought that it was rather good without a super twist.

Why would SPOILER Aliens allergic to H20 pick a planet with WATER covering 75% of its surface to conquer? That's like humans conquering a planet where all the water has cyanide in it!

yay or nay on this Shyamalan film? I say Yay...but barely. I liked the general idea of it, since the guy was trying to pull his own TWILIGHT ZONE, OUTER LIMITS-esque episode. The problem is, Shymalan had done so many movies in a row with a twist, people looked for a twist, and guess what? They guessed THE VILLAGE's secret early on, and were then bored with having to watch a movie pretend that its audience doesn't know. A pity really, but Night should have known better.
