As far as the twist goes, it actually fit rather well. The movie was just a little too slow for my taste without enough drama to hold up that slow pace. Besides, why does everyone expect a damned twiist? What was really the twist to Signs? I thought that it was rather good without a super twist. Signs had the dumbest twist ever. Why would SPOILER Aliens allergic to H20 pick a planet with WATER covering 75% of its surface to conquer? That's like humans conquering a planet where all the water has cyanide in it! and like 5-6% water vapor in the atmosphere. in fact, wheres that maddox write up on it...

yay or nay on this Shyamalan film? I say Yay...but barely. I liked the general idea of it, since the guy was trying to pull his own TWILIGHT ZONE, OUTER LIMITS-esque episode. The problem is, Shymalan had done so many movies in a row with a twist, people looked for a twist, and guess what? They guessed THE VILLAGE's secret early on, and were then bored with having to watch a movie pretend that its audience doesn't know. A pity really, but Night should have known better. yip yip yip yip uh huh. Exactly my feeling.
