I hated it. I remember telling my friends one night before I went to sleep "dont watch it...it sucks...like real bad.", and I went to sleep and the next day I woke up to them talking about how much it sucked...

I liked the movie up to a certain point. It provided some good scares, but I ended up not really liking the story. However, the acting was top notch.

Nay.
At the end i was like "really..this is how it's gonna end?"
I'm gonna steer clear of anything M. Night makes from now on.

"WHAT A TWIST"
you know what would be a HUGE twist? M. Night makeing a flick that doesn't need to Swerve you like Russo's writing it.

Stop the press, who is that!?(in Fabulousfreebird's sig) Sophia Bush, she gets a yay from me. I still won't watch One Tree Hill though. As for The Village, that gets a massive NAY from me. Shyamalan's best movie was Unbreakable, and that movie wasn't all about the twist ending. Sixth Sense was about the ending, and Stir of Echoes was superior. I didn't like Signs, with the exception of Merril swinging away. I haven't seen Lady in the Water, though.

It was not totally horrible, but it most definitely did not deliver the way that it should have. It was a definite downgrade from his previous efforts.

Nay, because the trailers made it look like a freakin' horror movie. Not some blind girl walking around for more than an hour. And then the guy in the monster suit (another wtf) fell in a hole!
Wiggity wack.

I might've liked it if I didn't figure out the inevitable twist like thirty minutes in. From there it was a dragged out hour of waiting till the "shocking" reveal.
Nay.

It would've worked as a thirty minute "Twilight Zone" script but not a 2 hour movie. Nay Nay Nay.

Wow, five years ago everyone on this site would probably be going "Shyamalan is a genius" and praising his work to high heaven. Now he's regarded as the film equivalent of Russo. Anyway, nay. I'm glad that the stupidity of this film finally made people aware of the fact that The Emperor wasn't wearing any clothes, but it still isn't as pretentious as Lady in the Water (where Shyamalan cast himself not in a cameo, but in a significant role as a genius writer). Last minute swerves do not a great film make, especially when it's as low quality as this one.

I haven't liked anything he's done since the one before The Sixth Since. He think's it supposed to be interesting but it all just ends up coming out prentious and crappy.
