the Pats/Cowboys game was a thing of beauty. Although I think Randy Moss made that TD catch that got overturned. Why the Raiders traded him for a 4th round draft pick, i'll never understand. He's 2 receptions away from his total amount of receptions last year. I'll be amazed if the Pats don't win the superbowl this year, with all the weapons they have. The ball came loose when he hit the ground. He didn't have possession of it. Though if he didn't drop it, he was magnificent with keeping his feet in bounds. i thought his elbow was down for a few seconds before the ball came out, but i guess that wasn't the case. yeah, the fact that he got his feet inbounds though, astounding.

Saints 28 Seahawks 17.
That does it for the weekend. Im 8-4 for the weekend. Tomorrow It's Giants at Falcons. Come on Giants ;D
If they get the win tomorrow and can get by SanFran next week. They will be at a healthy 5-2.
Jet's well. Tough luck for them. They have some more screwing around to do before they can consider playoffs. Even though it's still anyone's season IMHO no matter how sucky a team is

what about alexander? Hass was doing decent enough tonight. How about the long snapper? how about a defender who stands still with a clear path to the runner?

I'll be honest with you, I wanted the Saints to have a winless season. Oh well, the bastards pulled one out. Hopefully enough damage has been done to tone down the Reggie Bush verbal blowjobs and we can finally put the sympathy card away.
Vinny T FTW!!!!

Someone has probably brought this up already, but I, an avowed Cowboy hater, am going to get on the Patriots for something nobody I've heard has gotten on them for...
Running up the score.
Every game I've watched they've played full throttle WELL past the point of the game being decided.
Today was the worst example of all. Up TWO TDs with like 19 seconds left they bust their ass to force another touchdown before the game ends.
Now you can say "well if you can win by that much go ahead and do it" all you want. But you can't deny that it's horrible sportsmanship (this is football, an actual sport, not wrestling... which I love, but in real sports sportsmanship is required over showmanship).
I've seen the Steelers, and multiple other teams, in situations similar to these and almost every time they do the RIGHT thing and take the knee and go home.
Why risk hurting someone on the other team or more importantly your own team when the game's decided? What the hell happened to having respect for your opponent?
What they did to the Cowboys with that TD was degrading and embarassing not only to the Cowboys who had to endure that crap, but to their own organization as well in my opinion.
Somewhere there's a team watching that game that doesn't appreciate those antics either. And when that team meets the Patriots, they might use what the saw the Pats do today as motivation to "shock the world" and take it to the supposedly unbeatable Patriots.
Bank on it.

BTW, did Kurt Warner finish the AZ game?
I swear I saw a clip and Tim Rattay was playing QB for the Cards.

what about alexander? Hass was doing decent enough tonight. How about the long snapper? how about a defender who stands still with a clear path to the runner? the long snapper was one play. Any self-respecting team can recover from a 7-0 deficit in the first quarter, if they get their heads back into the game. Alexander's wrist is still hurt, and his brace is making so that Seattle does not give him as many carries a game, and on his carries, he has to focus more on a handle on the ball, as the bulky brace makes the ball more likely to slip loose than usual. Seattle's defense was poor tonight. But the fact of the matter was that Hasselbeck threw a terrible pass that got intercepted at a critical time of the game, and Hasselbeck never gained his composure back after that point. Also some stupid plays were called. Like running in a passing situation(3rd and 10 within 40 yards and under 2 minutes left) and going for it on 4th and 9 when a FG kick would be more appropriate.

There was discussion in the last thread about the running up of the score thing. While I don't really agree with it so much, I've still even as a Cowboys fan gotta go- "well, stop them there if you don't want them scoring again."

The Pats lack of sportsmanship began to show last year when Belicheck refused to shake Mangini's hand after getting beat by the Jets. You could tell poor Bill didn't like being shown up. It then continued when they taunted the Chargers after the game was over. (an action, surprisingly, they were given a pass on). And it continued throughout this year. I despise the Cowboys, but I wouldn't want to see the Eagles run the score up like that. Once they beat them, I would be happy with them just getting out with the win. All I know is Karma's gonna be a bitch on the city of Boston soon.

Yeah, I don't see the crime in what the Patriots did. They ran the same running play with their 3rd string tailback and the Cowboys D didn't stop him. It wasn't like they were calling timeouts or running a no-huddle offense.
BTW, if the Pats ever lose this year, it's because they're resting everybody. They are starting to look like the most dangerous team ever in the NFL and that's saying something considering the parity in the league you hear so much about. If they beat the Colts in three weeks, I might have to reluctantly put them up there with my '85 Bears.

It's almost like it don't matter who New England puts in there, they seem to look great.
Oooh, I got an idea.

I actually really feel for Drew Bledsoe. They may not have won as many games or indeed the championships they got once Brady got in there, but boy he was just left out in the cold once Tom caught fire. Especially when you consider it was Drew who got em into that first Superbowl when Brady was hurt during the AFC title game.

its nice to know we could match up to the Patriots... for 3 quarters anyways. can we just end this season now and just call the Patriots champs already? I mean next week they play Miami which if it were NCAA it would be no.1 vs a division 2-3 team. although as much as I dislike the Patriots, Bill Belichick press conferences rule all

I wonder when you jumped on the Patriots bandwagon. 2001? 2002? I was born and raised in New England. Lets try closer to 1981. I used to be the bandwagon. Any ways, since your a Dallas fan you would have no room to talk anyways.
