Next up - the Saints at the Seahawks.
Guess NBC are kicking themselves over that one, then.

I guess Bellichick wants to make a statement? You know, someone said this before and I agree: This is the Patriots pretty much telling everyone to screw themselves for all of the "their titles were tainted/they're not that good" talk. In fact, it was reported that Wade Phillips made such a comment earlier this week

That was a disgusting game to watch. At the very least, they play a run-oriented Vikings team next week, so at least they won't expose the Dallas secondary left and right. Get the win, go to 6-1 going into the bye week, and then they better try to get their act together before 3 straight division games.

I think people will be eating some words about David Carr before the year is over...

BTW, I'm not surprised Vinny did what he did. The guy still has a decent arm despite the age. As long as he gets some protection and doesn't have to use his feet, he can still be decent.

In fact, it was reported that Wade Phillips made such a comment earlier this week I wasn't aware Wade had said that. That makes more sense. As I said, I just wish Dallas coulda stopped 'em. As much as I'd have liked to see the win here, and as poorly as the team played in terms of penalties; I can't get TOO angry at the result. This game emphasized that while the Cowboys are good, they've got a ways to go before being elite. Will be an interesting rest of the season. Credit to New England for playing lights out.

I will laugh when one of their key players gets hurt when they are trying to run up the score. Not saying I want it to happen, but I'll lmao.

7-4 so far. But the best is only 8-3 this week. I can still get 9 wins, which would be a stellar week.
Lets go Hawks!

How did Miami let Welker slip away? I know playing #3 behind Randy Moss and Donte Stallworth really opens things for you, but the guy is a workhorse.
Brady's got 21 TDs to only 2 INT. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a new record to attatch to his name by the end of the year.
On the last TD run, it's 4th and goal with a yard to go. Hand it off and what happens, happens. You don't risk a blocked FG or some other fluke. Winners have the killer instinct and put teams away. Losers let them float before flushing and sometimes end up smelling like it. I don't like 'em, but the Pats are clearly winners.
Romo settled down and made a few nice plays after his horrible performance a week ago, but looked pedestrian when you put his performance together over 4 quarters.
Oh, by the way TO, when you make desperate pleas for attention to the media, at least try to back them up. I'm not into trashing other teams, but nothing makes me happier than seeing him pout on the sidelines.
Other thoughts... -Pennington is done. -McNabb's still not healthy, though a healthy Westbrook covers up the Eagles major warts. The offensive line is not nearly as good as they were thought to be. -Jaguars look impressive. -There are two good teams and then everyone else.

They are so smug that they are willing to risk injury just to show how superior they are. They ran the same running play 4 times in a row to run out the clock/game and the Coyboys failed to stop them from walking right through them. I don't see how this is being smug and running up the game to show them up.

They were running their 4th string RB, so I don't think they were concerned with that. Unless some fluke happens to an O-lineman that could've happened on any other down, it's not an issue.

Seau ran onto the field on 4th down like he was gonna come into the game to score that last TD. There's something absolutely wrong with that.

And they called him right back onto the sideline because the powers that be realize they're killing the clock. If they had the full unit out there and running an elaborate scheme like good ole' Bob Stoops would have done with OU, then we have a point to make. Here it's the simple fact that New England was killing the clock and Dallas couldn't stop the same play being run in the same exact spot by the 4th string back. Nothing elaborate or shady, just one team exerting its will on the other.

I know some will disagree, but if one team can't stop another from scoring then it's kind of whiny to complain.
Don't want to be embarassed? Man up and play four quarters...the other team owes you nothing.
I've never seen "take it easy on these lame asses" as respectful...
