I recently just watched Re-Animator for the first time. Very solid Lovecraft adaption with some good black humour and gore thrown in.

I watched Cutting Class on-line a few days ago. It's actually lamer than I remembered. I also managed to catch Deadly Friend on a local station as well. One complaint: they edited out the basketball decap scene The best death scene in the movie and they butchered it.

On a friend's suggestion, I watched "Behind the Mask" a couple days ago.
Better than I expected.
I've began rounding up all my horror dvds and vhs tapes, most of which are from the 60s and earlier. What can I say, I mostly like the old school stuff.

I just watched "Puppet Master 4" last night. Awesome stuff, one of the best of the series.
And for all three people who care, I have to finish watching the series again before I launch into that particular segment of horror franchise reviews.

I finally bought and watched Witchboard yesterday.
Even though I heard a lot of negative things about the movie I still wanted to give it a chance since Kevin Tenney directed it and he did direct Night Of The Demons after all I thought it might be decent but I was wrong.
I liked the concept behind the movie about an evil spirit being summoned by a Ouaji board but the execution was poor. The bad acting (even for the 80s this was bad) and the kills weren't even that gruesome either especially for a R rated film.
Overall I give it a 2 1/2 and that's being generous and I really wanted to like this movie too.

I just saw Dario Argento's OPERA and on Monday DEEP RED should be coming in from Netflix. I also saw ALIEN if that counts.

28 Weeks Later Stuff in it bugged me, but I still put it in my "like" section, lots of over the top violence and the "zombies" were even more zombie like then the first one.

From the Universal Horror Classic Movie Archive:
Captive Wild Woman - an intelligent gorilla is turned into a hot chick by way of mad science. Falls in love with an engaged man, and murders people as a result of jealousy. Dumb fun.
Night Monster - doctors meet up at the house of a quadropeligic they failed to cure. Also inhabiting this house is Bela Lugosi as a butler, and a chauffeur who's a little too touchy-feely with women folk. Murder is afoot. Weird fun.
Man Made Monster - Lon Chaney Jr. as circus performer who, through mad science (curse you, mad science!), becomes an eletricity sucking murderer with no free will. Just under an hour, so it doesn't have enough time to be truly horrible.
Other stuff I've watched recently:
Night of the Lepus - rabbits reproduce too quickly, so science (good-natured this time, not mad) tries to get these bunnies to quick humpin'. Instead, they turn giant and "terrorize" the American Southwest. Really cheesy fun.
Battle Royale (doesn't entirely count, but whatever) - the Japanese government passes a law that selects a high school class at random, and pits them against each other until all but one of them is dead. Paranoia, a plot to stop the carnage, and teenage hormones run rampant. Very good.
Stuff to be watched soon:
Dracula AD 1972 - Dracula is brought back to life in 1972, in the next-to-the-last Hammer Dracula film. Stars Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing, and some groovy chicks and dudes that no one really remembers today.
Black Christmas - Margot Kidder, Olivia Hussey, and others star in what is considered a pre-cursor to Halloween and the Slasher Boom of the 1980s.
Tintorera: Killer Shark - At times a Mexican Jaws-ripoff, at other times a softcore porno. Priscilla Barnes is in it, also known as the blonde who wasn't Suzanne Somers on Three's Company, and the three-nippled fortune teller in Mallrats.

Saw "The Vanishing" (1993 remake with Kiefer and Jeff Bridges) last night on FXM. Great stuff, much better than I expected, but mostly because Kiefer is one of the five best actors in the world.
