Dude, I am watching it now, and I love it. IDK its because I am pretty much in the same situation as the main characters(senior in high school). This is pretty much what High School is like here in the 935

I didn't like it as much when saw it in theater, but still walked out thinking I gots my moneys worth. When bought it on dvd, and re-watched it, it came off much better. Unlike a lot of things, Superbad is something I enjoyed more at home.
"I'm sorry the Coen brothers don't direct the porn I watch." I want to 'borrow' this line later on.

I love, love this film. One of my favorite ever, and perfectly depicts school life, at least in my region.

that whole porn discussion is so awesome, partly because it sounds like many a convo I've had with friends.

I thought it was funny, but not up there with 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up. I think maybe it's because I've gotten to the point I relate more to the stuff going on in the electronics store in Virgin, or the more mature relationship issues of both films. Buncha high school kids just trying to get laid...like I said, funny, but I probably would have appreciated it more when I was that age.

And I hear pretty much the exact opposite from people in their 20s/30s.

Agreed with Madison, also, a little. I'm not too far removed from high school (well, five years, so just a little), but I don't really look at it that way. Like, watched Animal House for the first time when 14, and couldn't relate to Bluto's college life at the time, but still found it to be a quite the funny romp.
Knocked Up is my favorite of that wave of movie. Even though the entire movie should have ditched the whole pregnancy angle and just went with 2 hours of Paul Rudd and chair discussions.

Funniest cinematic scene of 07, bar none. EDIT: I do have one criticism of SB though. The final 20 minutes or so kinda drug on. It was still super realistic. Maybe it was too depressing, because I realize that I have to leave my friends in like 8-9 months.

You can NEVER have enough Rudd. It should be some kind of science law.

I saw it yesterday. Considering I thought this movie looked terrible just judging from the previews, I really enjoyed it.

Loved it. Knocked up is a little bit better though.

Just watched it again. It's more comedy than storyline, which is different from Knocked Up, but it's still really really good stuff. A big relief from the American Pie cookie-cutter movies in that this was more realistic.
It's not for everyone though. My 18-year-old sister would probably hate it (I'm 20 fyi) though and so would my parents. It's a guy movie and one of those you had to experience similar circumstances to enjoy it.

Eh, I haven't seen it, but... to me it looks like Napoleon Dynamite 2007.
'Everyday' high school life, documented on film by lesser-known actors. I have liked Napoleon in the past, I should probably check SB out.

I didn't watch it, nor will I ever, but it's hard for it to not be overrated because everyone goes on about it, there's Mclovin shirts and all. Smart ass horny teens just don't appeal to me

I thought the flick was awesome. I've only seen it once...but I enjoyed pretty much every second of it. And I couldn't even relate that well, I was NOTHING like any of those guys in high school. But it was still great.

Didn't like it as much as Knocked Up, but still very funny. I can't really judge it that well until I know if it holds up as well as The 40 Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up in future viewings.
