They bill it as being about "Not weight limits, but no limits", in other words, a style that is built for the especially fearless without being a "cruiserweight" division by any means.

What the CRAP is with people and their fear or punctuation on these boards lately?
And even though I know that Mr. Backlund would refuse to answer your query, based on your lack of punctuation, I will do so anyway. The X-Division is like a cruiserweight division, in the sense that it has a lot to do with very fast paced, pretty-looking wrestling with lots of high spots, flips, and such. The difference is that you can be in the division no matter what your weight is, as long as you can "hang" with the other guys in that style of match (see Samoa Joe). Joe could do it, because he was fast as hell and moved in a way that most guys his weight aren't capable of (which, unfortunately, we haven't seen quite as much of since he's joined the Heavyweight division).
NOW GO FIGURE OUT HOW TO USE PUNCTUATION, YOU PLEBIAN!!!!

Excellent summary. Well, Joe couldn't hang with the Ultimate X and a lot of the gimmick venues originally designed for the X Division. Joe had some great matches, but jobbing the whole X Division to him really hurt the concept.

They've burried the X-division like WCW did their Cruiserweight division in 2000. I cant even care anymore.

Petey Williams might as well be Bantum Weight, that's a SMALL DUDE

Dude, I wouldn't have called Sonny Siaki or Hector Garza cruisers by any means, and they were in the X Division for a while. Siaki was a good 20 lbs over the 225 lb limit, but I doubt Garza was.

Joke Answer #43
It's the cross product of the z-Division and the negative-y-Division. Only those performers who can solve vector calculus problems are eligible, so cearly weight is not an issue.

Sonny Siaki just looked HUGE by comparison, he's really 220

In reality,
X-Division = Indy wrestlers
Heavyweight Division = Ex-WWE wrestlers + Joe
